I bought the exact same model with the Honda engine in 2020. I've used it for clearing and maintaining 8 acres of wooded land in Oklahoma. It's done an excellent job and easy to operate. My only complaints are that the nut that secures the cable to the gear selector has gone missing, and the fuel cap won't vent when fully tightened. Other than that, it gets it done.
@Billy Goat you spelled "outward" incorrectly at 2:33 ("outward") 🤦♂️ Also would have been nice if you'd shown the horsepower ratings of each debris loader under the image of each like you did with the blowers. Just some thoughts.
It would be nice if these advertisement videos demonstrated the mowers capabilities in actual thick, long grass. Not just straggly dead weeds/sticks. The slope demonstration was great but how does it handle slopes with thicker grass? I'm looking to buy a 4WD mower, either a Billy Goat or Razorback, and unfortunately this video hasn't demonstrated to me if it's worth the $22,749 AUD price tag.
Hello, I plan to overseed with this machine next month. I reside in Northern Virginia. I will be plant seed in mostly bare dirt. Should the ground be somewhat moist when using this machine?
This machine might work well cutting a flat moist field but that's it. You know when they tell you to make sure the ground is wet that the machine is gonna be crap. The one drive wheel and handlebar design is so flawed when you're pushing this machine around and constantly have to hold the throttle and cutting triggers down. They don't even show you them using this machine in the video because you have to manhandle the beast around. Definitely would not recommend to anyone. Fire the guys who designed this POS BillyGoat please. 🤬🤬🤬
I used it on really dry ground, it worked but it hurt my hands 45 minutes in and it took 1:30-2 hours to finish. 2 inch depth so it was a lot not aweful but it could be better.
I know there is a lot of resentment with Billy Goat using the Subaru brand, I should know I purchased not one but three replacement carberator cylinder blocks at $200.00 a pop for a Billy Goat SP-170 6.0HP blower. I'm still using the blower and with the Subaru engine. My Dealer repair guy took pity on me and let me in on an industry wide known secret, he recommended REC gasoline. Now everything I own runs on that fuel, regular & mixed oil fuel. All of my mowers, backpack blowers, string trimmers & chain saws start on the first pull & just purr like a kitten on idle, my neighbor is on his 3rd lawn mower, I told him too but, either too stuborn or too cheap. My point is this, if you want your customers to have productivity you should be recommending REC gas in your products.
When i pull the throttle lever all the way back to stop, the engine doesn't turn off. the manual says not to choke it to turn it off, but how else do you shut this thing off??
Hi Avoid! We recommend reaching out to the dealer nearest you to get the best price. Here is a link to our Dealer Locator: www.billygoat.com/na/en_us/find-your-dealer/dealer-locator.html
This was a great video! Very informative and well paced. I work for a distribution company in the mid-Atlantic territory that sells Billy Goat product. I'm glad I found this video and will be sure to pass it along to customers when performing demonstrations. Thanks!
I lost a ton money from your product i bought a 2019 debris loader with a electric start subaru which failed under 3 hours from dealer , the dealer tried to repair for months and eventually gave me a new 2020 unit for free with a honda motor which has a 2 inch smaller intake hose , we are a small landscape company and bought your product to make money and lost alot more then made so far and property management companies are tired of excuses that i made because my brand new unit could not collect leaves .
