I just want to share my story too, I'm 31 now. I saw slayer for first time in 2005 at the unholy alliance tour with lamb of God. Saw them every single time after that up until the last show with Jeff in 2012 and the first show with holt in 2013 and then a couple times after that. I will never forget all those years show after show of one of my favorite bands forever.. rip Hanneman, forever reigning.
Japanese people feel and know the beauty of every riff he plays it’s insane. In my op, Americans would just be shouting and all over the place rather than actually listening to what the guitarist is trying to put out. At least in todays world.
Slayer as I remember it back when I was a teenager. Dave at his best, and Jeff alive. Kerry is starting a new band. I wonder what it will be. It will never be anything like Slayer without Tom and Jeff, but the project looks quiet interesting, if it will ever work out.
This is the slayer i used to go and see , when they came to England id be at 4 or 5 shows , Dave is critical to the slayer sound, i don't care what anyone says .
Bostaph is good in his own right, but Lombardo has those air tight double kicks. Something Bostaph never had, his kicks sound like shoes in a dryer. There's a live video of Lombardo playing Disciple with Slayer and he plays those kicks measure perfect (and with some swing!)
IMO Show No Mercy is a far superior album to Hell Awaits. Better, heavier more intricate riffs and solos, better songs too. For me i go from Show no Mercy and skip to to Reign in Blood. My favorite Slayer albums are Show No Mercy, Reign in Blood, Divine Intervention, Christ illusion, a nd World Painted Blood.
@@Stitsel wow I feel dumb. Saw a comment earlier about KK and JH borrowing some stage moves from KKD and GT so I guess I still had Priest on the brain hahaha. I agree though, his chaotic style while not exactly pretty helps build the chaotic hellscape feeling perfectly. Is he the prettiest sounding guitar player? No, and he doesn’t give a fuck. That’s what makes Slayer, well Slayer.
Good to see some dude respects jeffs tribute seasons in the abyss is his song bro and he used kahler bridge on the ESP remember that no floyd rose crap
Haha, this is so fn cool man.. this brings back so many memories.. i wish they would have kept this song on their live song set list throughout their career..
