I’ve been playing piano for the better part of a decade, this is the hardest piece I have ever attempted so bravo on your end for making this song into sheet music.
Thank you. I tried to include as much of the original as was feasible, so the arrangement ended up a bit complicated. At measure 55 beat 4, the [ Bflat -> A -> C (eighth note C)] should be [ Bflat -> A -> Bflat - > C ] with all sixteenth notes, but I found it a bit difficult to hit the E right after, so I made it slightly easier. If you can play it though, bravo to you!
Thank you for creating this beautiful piano arrangement! I especially love the bass line arrangement from 2:14-2:22 (bars 74-77) and have been listening to it over and over again.
Requiem has my favorite OSTs from all of Umineko, with titles like Golden Nocture, 7 Weights, and of course, The Executioner. I’ve waited for so long for someone to transcribe this one for the piano; thank you so much! It sounds amazing.
IMO the last part at 5:38 (5:35 in original) lacks of high notes (from the organ) like in original (what you play on stackatto I guess if we make it easier), so you can't feel that the music going to end through its climax. Same problem with transition it on 3:00 in ur chart where again it has to be the climax, but in the chart it looks like the descent from the top (the earlier parts were done pretty fit if compare with original). Those "organ" notes from the original really makes it easy to recognize the song itself, and in my opinion denying them in the end or in the middle of the chart is not good. But overall it's very cool.
I think that I see what you mean, the progression is not necessarily natural and that climax does not exactly match the original with the organ. I tried to incorporate a lot of the background instruments like the drums and other ambient synths while trying to keep the original melody somehow, and I also did not want the organ to stay in the same octave the whole song that I felt that it deprived the lower tones of the organ from shining through. The octave spam that I put in the treble clef at 3:00 plays during the original for a lot longer but I wouldn't be able to incorporate it everywhere because the melody still needs to get played, so I just put it for a few measures at 3:00 so it would not be left out. The original pitch is mid-high so I put it in the treble clef while moving the melody to bass clef. It is jarring compared to the original but I thought it would be an interesting difference because the octave spam is being moved from a background instrument to the foreground. However I did not know how individual part dynamics in my sheets at this time so I can see how it may not be balanced with the melody that has been put into the bass clef. At 5:38 I do not feel great about keeping the drumline in the treble clef since at that point it had gotten repetitive, but I also felt like taking out made the song lose a lot of chaos and energy so I ultimately kept it in. Maybe I could have put it up the octave too, but then I had the pitch balance had too many ultra-high and ultra-low pitch sounds and the mid-range felt a bit empty. If I were to make this now I would probably use the drumline line less to make the piece more rhythmically dynamic, but I wonder how I would keep the energy up... Overall the drumline felt important to me but I still think that losing the consistent organ blast is also a lost. It was difficult for me to decide since there's only so much that can be done with 2 hands. Your critique was nice and allowed me to reflect on the piece again, so thank you
Thank you! I'm not sure which touches you are describing, but many of the differences from the original are me choosing to highlight the quieter instruments in the background. I didn't make a lot of original parts in this one
@@Aewo Ah, I see. I heard the part at 2:20 when I was commenting that, so that’s the kind of “touch” I was referring to (I’m not sure what exactly it’s called… the closest term I can think of is tremolo but that’s surely not right). I also liked your uses of glissandos toward the end, very fitting for this energetic song. It’s always nice to hear those sorts of details and styles in your covers
@@boxofspoons8867 I'm glad you like my style of arrangement ;D Mhmm, 2:20 is a quiet harp in the original, and I added an extra 1/2 beat at the beginning to "lead into" it, hope that makes sense
I've been looking forward to you posting this video ever since I saw the recording of your live stream! It's a beautiful and wonderful arrangement that's a joy to listen to. Thank you!
Hello Aero! Just wanted to say I’ve been listening to your Umineko arrangements for a while now, and I wanted to thank you, not only for being one of the few people transcribing these, but for making them so beautiful! It’s really impressive. Hopefully someday I’ll get to hear my other favorites like The Executioner or 7 Weights on the piano. Wishing you a wonderful day :)
Thanks so much! It was really overwhelming to do these arrangements at first, but the end result has always been worth it. The Executioner has been on my mind for a while, perhaps I'll get to it one day...
I watched this video without knowing anything about the original music or the game, but I really liked the slightly sad undertones combined with a sense of hope in this music, so I looked into the original music and the game. I used to play flash games when I was little, but I didn't know about this game. I'm amazed that there was such a good music in a flash game. I want to express my gratitude to you for introducing this music to me with your wonderful piano arrangement.
This is a very beautiful piano arrangement! It goes without saying that the entire piece is beautiful, but I was especially impressed by the bass from measures 57 to 70 (1:35 to1:59). In this part, I think that in the original song, the bass strings sounded at quarter note length, but in your arrangement, the bass sounds smoothly with a more elaborate melody. I feel that this wonderful arrangement makes this song even more beautiful. Also, overall, the original's intense percussion and the smooth melody have been beautifully expressed in this piano arrangement, and it's truly moving. Thank you for this wonderful arrangement.
Sorry, I'm a bit greedy in that regards... I'm still hoping for this channel to have live covers, and I want to release the sheets when I do that. I hope that is okay with you
@@pyrocumulus0 Thanks for reminding me. I've been sent away for work again, so I'll release the sheets that I have on Musescore. I'll update the descriptions sometime in the next couple of days. I should probably figure out how to do a community post, too...
独特のアレンジがかっこよくて4か月くらい前からずっとプレイリストに入ってます。 特に3:23からが大好き…もっと伸びるべきremixだと思う。 The unique arrangement is so cool that it's been on my playlist for about 4 months now. I especially love the part from 3:23...I think this remix should be more extended.
ありがとうございます。。。ゲームのメーン曲をアレーンジに入れたかったから、頑張りました。user_halstさんが楽しんで本当によかったよ。 Thank you...I wanted to include the game's main theme in the arrange, so I tried my best to make it work. I'm very glad that you enjoyed it.
