If you're going to be watching the film I'd recommend either going down the deep-deep-deep-deeeeeeeeeeeeeeep dark rabbit hole of fnaf lore and theories. Or better yet, get a friend who has done that to show you the highlights of the lore before and explain things after/during. It's a great movie, but it's filled with easter eggs and definitely intended more for hardcore fnaf fans. Though I do think it's good enough where you'll still enjoy it if you don't know any lore. Personally, I watched it a week after release with friends in the theater, and we all liked it. But we are all fans one way or another, even if I only played my first (partial) game a while afterwards.
