I have batteries in there and this exact set up thanx to you guys. My question is does this become the primary source and if the batteries dies ( tray batteries ) does the battery box take over or does the ammo automatically become the primary cause no way my camera is dead in a week and wondering why
The big battery becomes the primary battery as soon as it's hooked up from what we've experienced. Make sure the batteries are completely charged up before putting them out. The batteries should last for months at a time, check the connections to the camera and battery, we've had those come loose
Hello, Are you interested in testing our products? We would like to invite you to test the Camo Seat Cover for your KAWASAKI 4010 4X4 MULE ( if your car year is 2009-2022
Are your brakes really bad? Just got a 2024 4010 Trans and the brakes are basically useless. Do they burn in/improve over time or need adjustment? Thanks!
We haven't made any adjustments. It seems like they are better than at first, but could be that we are getting used to them. I know I don't trust them on steep inclines, definitely drive smart with this one.
Like the video. Doesn't sound that loud? Do you run it without ear protection? Also wonder why no roof or windshield? Also weather, how is it in the cold?
It's not very loud, very comfortable to run without hearing protection. We needed to stay under $15k so didn't add the roof or windshield, possibly will at some point. It runs well even in the sub-zero temps we've had recently, but not comfortable to drive.
in cattle pastures, those cattle can destroy any feeder! fence it off? also, if you mount keg plates in center of barrel likely more stable, with those legs.
We started with the feeders set in CRP fields or spots that couldn't be accessed by livestock. But fences often get washed out during Spring rains so the cattle would get out. So we've started fencing the feeders in with non-barbed wire. We thought about putting the plates in the middle of the barrel and that would also help the height for the deer to feed more comfortably, but it's already almost difficult to reach from the bed of a pickup. As the legs get bent or broken we replace them with solid steel pipe and that seems to work really well, although more expensive.

I have a 2016 4010 SE 4X4 and the front storage compartment latch knob is a problem. It is merely a knob and is difficult to pull back sufficiently due to how much tension is on the latch springs. It should have been made in a "D" configuration. Keep a close check on your oil dipstick. Check it regularly as they will rust due to insufficient crankcase ventilation. I replaced mine once and last year it broke and the majority of the dipstick is lodged in the tube and I haven't had a chance to get it out of there. Stainless steel dipstick is around $40.That is the only problem I have had with mine. I have it loaded with accessories. Besides a 3500# winch, I installed the Kawasaki electric bed lift and the heavy duty trans/differintial skid plate. When mine was brand new I had to really press on the brake pedal to stop. I t akes a little while for the drum brakes to get broke in. Mine will stop very quickly now. I speed checked it the other day with a phone spedometer app and it will do a whopping 22 MPH which is ok for the suspension limits and terrain I use it in. It would be nice if it could be turned up to 35 though.
I have a 2008 4010 equipped with a winch, roof, windshield front and back, heated seats, front light bar, cube lights in the rear and floor mats including the bed. No issues whatsoever! Just regular maintenance and running premium gas. Replaced the tires to 28" x 10's ! No lift and gained almost 3.5" of ground clearance. The machine is a workhorse! Commercial built for work. I also have a 2022 model exactly like yours, but full Curtis cab, winch, aux lights, heater, sound bar, floor and bed mats. I love Kawasaki Mules! My only suggestion would be to add CVT boot protection or you'll be replacing the rubber boots periodically.
Suspension is smooth, very comfortable from that point, but we don't ride fast on rough terrain. Seats are nothing to brag about, soft enoungh but not meant for a lot of time in the saddle.
Very cool video, Thank you for sharing, the setup for Deer hunting and management of Property is so Great love every minute, Thanks Again , Best of luck this year°
I have to leave the actual hunt footage for my brother to show. He's still hanging out at the farm, check his channel in a week or so to get the shot and full recovery!
You're right, it isn't anymore! I just checked prices and it all went up over the last few years, our barrels are free so that helps. We ended up replacing a few legs that cows damaged with solid pipe and that stuff was ridiculously expensive, paid more for the pipe than the whole rig the first time!
I have the same feeder tube; Do you have an internal funnel inside the drum? I was wondering if that was necessary to utilize all the feed or does it pile up on the sides?
Sorry for the delay in responding. I keep meaning to measure and I forget, I think it's around 34 inches, but probably needs to be higher because the bigger raccoons can reach it. I think it could go up 4-6 inches and the deer could still reach it, but it will be difficult to reach to fill out of the smaller pickup bed that we usually use to shuttle feed with. And we're all 6'1" to 6'8" tall so I'd have a hard time recommending going too high.
Great video and just subscribed! I have made something similar with the motorized spinner, but I like the idea of a gravity feeder. Does it clog up very much or does the corn keep flowing pretty well? Thanks for the inspiration. Also, where are some good places to find the metal barrels?
Appreciate the sub! I've used the spinners in past too and just didn't want to deal with batteries. Corn and pellets flow both flow very well, I did have some alfalfa pellets get wet inside (my fault, accidentally dumped water from the lid inside when opening) and they swelled and got moldy, had to scoop that all out. Otherwise no flow issues. We got our metal barrels from my dad's employer, an envelope factory. The barrels held ink for printing. You might scout out recycling places or scrap yards. Make sure you get one with the removeable lid instead of just a bung hole. Hope that helps!
Dropped my hf g50 out of the tree few nights ago just bought this cam to replace while it gets repaired. Thanks for the lowlight footage very important!!
How did you end up liking the camera? This is about the most I can afford right now for my mobile hunting and I literally just pulled the trigger about 10 minutes ago and purchased it.
If you want it to gravity flow better take a 4inch piece of pvc pipe and center it in the bottom of the barrel inside and hammer it down a little bit and you can make it slide down to the drop tube
I bought one of the gravity attachments to feed a higher protein diet and keep the feed off the ground to discourage wild hogs. You may want to try a Roasted Soybean and Corn blended for 22% protein. It’s called Buck Ration in my area.
I used a Canon vixia hfr800 hd camcorder and my Samsung phone. I don't have a camera arm but if you watch the next video #2 I show the little clamp mount we made up at last minute
@@bobbyjones7750 I uploaded a clip of turkey hunting for you to look at. It was overcast and still fairly dark, it also shows the zoom capability which I think is pretty impressive (and even better in normal light conditions of course) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-AoAXyXru3ek.html
Just a tip, no matter how experienced you are or how many deer you have killed, show some emotion. Make the viewer feel your excitement. They can't be there so you are hunting for them, get excited!
About 2 weeks. We only fill them about 2/3 of the way full, the legs are a little bendy after that. It takes about 7 buckets of corn to fill 2/3 of the way. And we get about 7-8 deer each night feeding off of the one where we use the Tactacam Reveal camera.
@@Freedomjunkremoval we just ran our wagon out of corn and expecting snow and temps in the teens next week, so we may have to make a trip to the farm store. Unfortunately corn prices have gone up
4 bags will last a month I drop a bail of alffa near it and they will keep coming in after the corn is gone I highly recommend putting the Funal they sell in the bottom of it
