Craig tended to speak with Danny more and Chris spoke to Robert or Hatty more, so both men could avoid each other.
I have read about the bad relationship between Chris Barrie & Craig Charles in those years of Season 3 to 5. The two of them simply didn't get on. Chris saw Craig as being too laid back, too relaxed & Craig thought Chris was pompous, a bit up his own arse because he had more TV experience.

I can't bloody stand him! In the series 1 documentary, the actor for Todhunter bet on a horse called Holly and gave norman the ticket - the twat was entirely ungrateful because the horse didn't win! Hattie Hayridge supremacy, not only does she seem so lovely as a person but her performance is leagues ahead of norman.
