So much knowledge. Please show all episodes from his television programmes again. Old country, How, out of town. It would be leagues ahead of the stuff broadcast these days.
It sounds like a programme that shouldnt work in theory, but it certainly does. Who wouldn't love to spend the day with Jack? The perfect dinner party guest. Only the British could come up with this type of show. ...amd nake it an absolute success.
You were (and in your videos kindly restored to us by Dave Knowles still are) a great and a good man, Jack Hargreaves. an icvon of my childhood and early teens. Thank you. RIP.
Great film ,i always loved terriers i have few types ,and most people have no clue what they were breed for seeing this make me somehow part from this huge no bounderies dog lovers who really found peace and comfort in those little but tenacious types of dogs.Respect
as a child i loved HOW on TV, especially JACK, he always came across as a person that was prepared to take time to explain things in detail. Miss his wisdom and knowledge.
I met David Brian plummer in approximately 1998.i live in Southport, Merseyside. I bred my bullmastif bitch "Jessy" .to a crufts champion stud.she had 9 puppies, 6 survived the cesarean section birth,I advertised the puppies for sale in exchange and mart. Brian plummer contacted me and came to view the puppies. He was so impressed with the pups and the mother, he bought 2 pups. Brother and sister. He paid me the full asking price of £600 per pup.He was a very knowledgeable and impressive man and I was very impressed with the way he lived his life.
I dug in hants wilts davon wales laterley belgium and now italy im not well enough now to do much now.i salute all the little dogs and all tje real people i met thanks lads!
then you don't love your terrier. You don't know the first meaning to theses dogs and what makes them happy. this is what they're bred for. this is what separates them from other breeds. this is the main reason people like you get into terriers, because you want a terrier from a working stock meanwhile you won't work them yourself 😂😂. why did you even bother to watch this film then comment afterwards. smh
He certainly outshone anyone else in this with his quality as a broadcaster and a spokesperson about a multitude of subjects ..they don’t make them like Jack any more 😞
teachers these days should study the past traditions and teach the children this useful knowledge so that they have a good life in the future and maybe learn how to look after them selfs without money .and only the tools they have to hand ,we were taught this when we were young by our parents our grand parents and a bit they taught us at school.
I have fond memories of dad an I sitting down together and watching Jack. I learnt so much from him, and my dad. From shooting to fishing and all things nature wise. Salad days.
I caught this after reading Col. David Hancocks Charwynne dog features on old dog breeds, he was not backwards in coming forwards in berating the Kennel Club and co for turning so many working breeds into a shadow of their former selves. Nice to see Willy Poole the huntsman who gave us the EU. leaked report on the cessation of livestock production in the British area after the start of the foot and mouth epidemic. These were great dog men, lets hope the lads up there are trying to keep some of these original lines going. Thanks for the film, catching a few of these now. Regards Alan
I worked Patterdales, the odd jack russell and a very good Border x Patterdale some year's ago... watching this amazing nostalgic film brought some good memories back ... 🐕 👍👍
