It's still looking good. I took that boat out every week crabbing all last year up until mid November. Here's a link to the video update on the boat from last October after using it all summer. I also did the peice under the troling motor and the front panel the same as this dash. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Ceq_WESzLSI.htmlsi=YJLSDjpBk39fShD6

I recognise that area... Rhode River? I have crabbed next to you and your daughter a couple of times this year. I found your lost trap one trip... is that you?
Hey John, I remember. Thanks again for getting my trap back to me. Check out the about section if you want to reach out to me on TikTok or fill out the Google form.
Great video love the idea also have a question regarding the anchor and the buoy set up on a trot line. why doesn't the anchor go directly at the end of the main line instead it goes on the backside of the buoy. how do we maintain bottom contact if the anchor gets pulled too tight it's going to raise the trot line between the buoys .
Thanks. There are 2 chains between the buoy and the end of the main line. They hold the line on the bottom but don't weigh it down so much the line can't be lifted with the propstick on the boat. If you use to heavy of a weight on the ends of the main line it comes up to steep. I'll be making some videos playing around with different anchors and other options for the chains.
Are you crabbing the Chesapeake Bay I'm gonna try my first-hand at crabbing and the chincoteague Bay trappe Creek area or Newport Bay. If you're in that area and can offer advice I love to have some
Yes I am crabbing the Chesapeake Bay Area mostly around the Bay Bridge. Sometimes the west side and sometimes the east side. I might consider meeting up in these areas to offer some tips.
@@thatguy-AB Thanks for the offer maybe someday but for my first trip out we're chincoteague Bay area and sienupuxent Bay area around the bridge to assateague island. It's a little less dangerous than Chesapeake for a noob.
I believe it's mind for aluminum but also has other minimals in it. Across the river from this mine is a tall hill with a stone fireplace dug at its base and large hole on top of this 20ft tall hill that emptied into the fireplace where they processed it.
Good question. Paint thinner is expensive and evaporates extremely fast but works GREAT for brushes that have dried solid. When I say fast I mean an entire container in a bowl would be gone the next day if left open. As long as the brushes still have flex it is not necessary. Soapy water is just fine, is less expensive and safer. Brush cleaner is extremely Flammable. I will be posting a video showing how to use paint thinner and how well it works to loosen up solid brushes.
This is both the deployment and retrieval apparatus. I'll be posting a video of how it works on the boat when the crabs are going good probably June. This weekend I'll be testing some spots with traps to see if the crabs are in that area yet.
I was wondering what it looks like myself, I wasn't able to see the pictures you posted, do you mind sending me or posting a picture of it here ..?? Thank you
@@patricklipowski33 I'll be making another video showing the entire process in the next month. Until then I'll be laying crab traps until they get in the shallow waters.
@@thatguy-AB wish I did! I’ve been trying to find more. I stumbled on that one years ago just hiking the area not knowing of it at all and it was an awesome experience. If you find more or need a camera man I live in the area also.
@@thatguy-AB I just went over to the cave yesterday w my nephew. I challenged him to see who could find the most living things in the cave. We saw a black snake deep in the back of the tunnel lodged up in the ceiling hunting! Pretty A handful of bats as well and millions of water crickets.
You probably know just as well as I do most don't read the owner's manual like we do and you are correct this is different per model but they still have the same snowflake and sun stamp on the shield.
