Its better to loop around the front fork between the fender and fork. No load on suspension, thus no chance to dome loose when bike bounces,cand absolute tight.

This hitch is rated for 300 lbs tongue weight at the trailer ball. As long as you are staying within the capacities of the hitch and vehicle, you should be good to go.

Nice video. Left out a few important points of info. -The bottom facia and bumper facia come off together. -The bottom facia is bolted to the bumper facia (at least on 2018+). These bolts are not accessible until the bumper and facia are removed. -There's a third bolt towards the front on the bottom facia under the felt panel between the two other forward bolts -There is a small screw on each side inside of the wheel well that attaches the bottom facia to the fender (hex head)
Is the small piece that covers the rectangular hole on the bumper when the receiver is not being used, sold separately? If so, what is the part number?

I been trying my hardest to remove the 3 bolts holding in the bumper beam but they won’t budge. Not with a drill, socket wrench, or regular wrench. Any tips ?
Hey there, it could be possible that you are having some issues removing the bolts if Loctite was used on the bolts. Have you tried using a wrench with a longer handle to get more leverage?

the solterra does not have the capacity to TOW anything according to subaru . this hitch is only good for a cargo rack , like for a bicycle or scooter . there is no wiring package to legally tow a trailer of ANY kind . which is VERY strange for a vehicle with this power . it should be able to at least tow a small trailer with no difficulty , but subaru keeps giving the runaround as to why . it makes me think there is fundamentally wrong with this car . many electrics this size can tow . many sites are saying the car has a theoretical capacity ... but nothing in detail . but that doesn't mean anything without the means to make it tow legal (the wiring kit)
