Great video!! everything looks fabulous!! Was nice to go on a walk thru and see all of your progress. Loved seeing the girls 🐔 in their new home!! The kitties 😺have invaded your "commercial kitchen" 😊
I'm using the Botanicare Rack Grow Tray- 2 ft x 4 ft and they fit perfectly into a Wire shelving unit like you'll find at Lowes or Home Depot. I had plenty of left over shelves I'm planning to use elsewhere and just buy the poles separately. www.bghydro.com/hydroponics/plastic-grow-trays/grow-trays/botanicare-rack-grow-tray-2-ft-x-4-ft-black.html www.homedepot.com/p/HDX-6-Tier-Commercial-Grade-Heavy-Duty-Steel-Wire-Shelving-Unit-in-Chrome-48-in-W-x-72-in-H-x-18-in-D-HD18481302PS-1/203846551
I have a similar setup, you will likely replace the tubing in the future, because they are transparent they are very prone to algae, if the plants are exposed to several hours of light.
I ordered these ones from Amazon and they were ok. We have had much better germination rates with seeds from Johnny's Selected Seeds. a.co/d/bAd0bjz www.johnnyseeds.com/vegetables/microgreens/microgreen-mixes/spicy-micro-mix-microgreen-seed-2567.html
You can use the pump in the tower garden reservoir and attach the included hose to the top (I think it's 3/4" but can't remember) then pump to a bucket or in my case I have a utility sink. I only have to do this maybe once every few months so it's not a frequent task. You can also use a spare pump attached to a hose and drop it down into the reservoir to empty it out.
@@shillfarms thank you. Those towers really got me intrigued. I love growing as much of my own food as possible and lettuce can be a pain in the ass with slight changes in temperature. Thank you
Thanks! We got ours from Gorilla Grow Tent. It's a 5' x 9' tent and has been great so far. Very well built too, would recommend it. Good luck! www.gorillagrowtent.com/products/5x9-grow-tent
