Extra thought. Microphones. Quality. Environment, ambience but especially proximity can turn a similar performance 180 degrees. Luciano was the master, but if Whitney had been two times inches closer to the other mic it would have set on fire. Thats how powerful both of their voices were.
Pavarotti. Such a legend and such a gracious man. Sting same same different way. Elton, all of the above but looked nervous amongst his platinum peers (still wow). But i want to say, years after her tragic death, we have not yet universally finished unpacking the enigma that was the amazing Whitney Houston.
THE hardest thing to EVER do - Is sing in front of your Mother! even if she did teach you!.....Whitney is choosing her Notes carefully and she's not over shooting anything....
1:00 because Nicki is not respecting her legacy, that's why Whitney thought she had no idea who she was. How can anyone who knows Whitney houston and listens to her music not know what music is and be influenced by it?! Nicki's "work" well contradicts Houston's

This don’t make no sense!! Her voice is just not fair!! There are singer that can hit higher/Lower notes. There are singers that can hold notes longer. None of that matters when Ms. Houston is involved. It’s the Tone, Her control, how she interprets the song. Her Vibrato, Runs, how she sometimes slightly changes the Medleys to songs she sings. The most powerful/Beautiful head voice outside of opera. Most singer have good chest voice.but, lack in other areas. In her prime she had great control of her lowest notes. Control of her chest voice, great control of Mixed. And control of her head voice. While most singers have trouble with pronunciation. She mastered it. She mastered singing softly. She often sounded just as good if not better live than studio versions. It’s just not fair!!
