Hi and thank you for stopping by to look at my channel.
If you like simulator type games then hopefully you will find something of interest to you.
Simulators such as Omsi, Fernbus, Bus Sim 18 Flight Simulator e.t.c. will be featured.
I am not a full-time content creator as I have a full-time day job as well as a family to look after so this is more of a hobby where I try to upload whenever I can.
I do hope you like what you see and maybe consider helping me out by subscribing.
When in game, bring up the small box menu that appears in the bottom right-hand of the screen. You do this by clicking the ALT key on your keyboard. You see the option for steering wheel or mouse and keyboard. Hope this helps.
not as easy as you make it appear...l see nothing like you...cany find any steam omsi 2 files or anything...everything not found....not so simple for the not tech savvy
You should find the manual and all other documents in the Steam Apps folder. Default path would be C/Program Files(x86)/Steam/Steamapps/Common/OMSI-2/docs. Assuming you installed Steam on your 'C' Drive.
Hi , thanks for the video .. was trying to set up the game last night on my gaming laptop.. for some reason it won't allow me to look around in the driver cabin for example .. I was wondering do I need a mouse? I've plugged in my xbox controller and it's just not working
if I remember correctly, you can use the left/right arrow keys on a keyboard to look left and right. Using a mouse to pan around would be better. I have no idea about xbox controller as this is geared towards a PC set up.
Hi, the GPS Minimap is an addon DLC for OMSI available on Steam. It's called, OMNI Navigation. Or alternatively, you can purchase a different addon for OMSI called Bus Company Simulator (BCS), also available on Steam. BCS is an addon where you can run your own company and comes with the mini map. Or just use the default arrow markers in OMSI which show you where to go on your route.
hi there how can i get the route on the navi i select what i want to drive in the bus client app but ingame the route is not shown on navi i have pro mods 2.65 single player can you help me
Hi,.. No readme or PFD manual but the way to tell what are fictitious from the real lines is by scrolling down on the Downloads page where you get the map from. You will see the sub-headings, Fictitious Lines and I'm presuming all the rest are real lines, some are modern and some from the 1980s. If you right-click with your mouse on the downloads page, you can translate into English in the context menu. Here is the link again. Hope that helps. reboot.omsi-webdisk.de/file/9280-habana-oeste/
You need to select the correct year for the route you wish to drive. You will see how I did this at the beginning of the video. Also, if you go into the games main folder, on your hard drive, you will see a folder called, 'docs'. Here you will find a PDF map, which I also show in the video, which shows the years that the route numbers are available on. There are some other PDF documents along with a manual. Hope that helps.
@@Stringbean421 I mean the other route number that selects the destination. Aftee you type in the route 137 in the machine you type another number which is 02. But I just want to know how you did that.
@@sensor3dd If you look in the PDF manual, and jump to page 72, there is a list of all the destination route codes along with the Line numbers. It's all shown in my video too how to enter them.
Well I really enjoyed this map! Didn’t do the 3 download buses as you had to rename one of the buses you owned to stop a clash. Plus it’s a bit convoluted going through the process when you click on the bus/tram links - didn’t want to mess my Omsi DIR up! I used the VanHool buses that you have in Omsi free. Absolutely perfect as you have enough of a choice of variants and -most importantly - they work with the map and tickets. Huge routes and plenty of replay value
As usual Stringbean, concise and in-depth. Perfect step-by-step. I myself have never heard of this map and will download it this weekend. I’m 60 this year and I just can’t get enough of OMSI 2. I’m sure it’s because I come from DOS days and loved messing about with editors and editing files, configs. The true beauty of owning a PC. Thanks for keeping me going! Ps; any chance of doing some Setvar tutorials? I’m just getting my head round some but lost on others. SP 400MMX, Citybus i280 etc. it’s the fact that I see setvars (.CTI files) sitting outside main bus folders and implementing them into buses is a headache as I don’t know if they work or not - especially the i280 and ticket machines….!?
Hi, Thanks for the great comment. You trail behind me by two years as I'm 62. Setvars is not something I've really dabbled into to be honest so I'm not too hot on that subject myself.
ZEW1 and ZEW3 are just beeps to get attention for drivers (ZEW1) or dispatchers (ZEW3). So no matter of the radio channel there will be only ZEW1/3 available. In game in singleplayer both buttons are working the same - they will trigger script for scenario dispatcher.
Nice quick start guide Stringbean. If the Devs of this game play their cards right and allows Third party Devs to make routes and Locos, then DTG might have some decent competition.
Absolutely, DTG need a run for their money. There's a long way to go though yet for SimRail so all we can do is hope the game continues to grow and flourish.
@@Nic77PL Yes, I have read that US, German, and I believe Austrian routes for SimRail have been mentioned. Also, there is a US Loco in the works as we speak.
Loved your prounciations :) What you were calling "Neverlink", is actually 'Nervenklinik", or Nerven and Klinik.... this is German for 'Psychiatric Hospital', as the 130 operated to Spandau Pschiatric Hospital (Spandau Nerven Klinik). What you were calling "Rufflin" is Ruhleben, which is pronounced "Roo-LAY-bin".
Just wondering if you might be able to help me with this - downloaded this pack but the instructions tell me I need ADL Enviro 200 by V3D, Transbus ALX400 Regional Spec by V3D and WH AI Pack by Whistlehead, and where to get them, but the site I've been pointed at can't find them. The instructions list other items I CAN get from the same site but it's just these 3 I can't get. Don't suppose you've any thoughts?
Hi, see the link in my video description. it will take you to the page (FellowsFilm), to where the links are for the other things you need. If I remember correctly, you need to register in order to download anything from them.
@@Stringbean421 thanks for the reply. I did actually find them in the end, just now. They're worded slightly different to the document suggesting what's needed.
@@Stringbean421 although, saying that, I now just get a screen with just a sky on upon loading. I've followed all of the download instructions etc and I'm positive I've done that right. I've loaded the game accordingly and everything displays as normal apart from an empty sky on screen. When I try and pick my bus, I get an error in German so I assume something is wrong
@@WinOrBinGamingReviews Have you remembered to install the 4Gb patch which must be done every time a map has been installed? Also, do you have the addon file checker? If not, get it from here. It's a great utility that checks what files you may have missing. fellowsfilm.com/downloads/omsi-map-tools.1341/ 4Gb Patch. www.ntcore.com/4gb_patch.php
Another excellent video Stringbean. I like the way you explain everything in great detail. So many other RU-vidrs that make OMSI videos skip a lot of the setting up. You deserve a lot more likes and Subs as you make great content. 👍😎
I’ll never stop playing OMSI2 and I’ll never stop watching your vids. As you quite rightly said, setting up the bus is the hardest thing that any newcomer will do and fail, then they are put off and won’t play again. I recommend your videos for that reason. Most will just play a route with no commentary or what they did to drive it and that’s as useful as a chocolate fireguard! Keep it up mate!!
Good video. Have played on the Gainsborough map and the scunthorpe map separately. It is nice to see that they have finally been merged together and extended.
@Stringbean421 hey. Everything is good thanks. I love using the renown. Haven't had one overheat yet though. Have you played on the Westcountry map from FellowsFilm? Got to be my favourite map.
@@HollowayGamingOfficial Yes I have, and as you say, it's a great map. There has been a recent update and a further patch release hat updates Totness bus station, I believe with parking bays now. Haven't checked it yet though. Yeah, one of the Renown models has an engine overheat thing so you have to switch engine off, open the engine bay and sit for a while until it cools down.
I've played this a few times and glad you've found the handling to be "tricky" at times too. I guess that's realism for these buses though. Great video, thanks
