Sand is deep in a few spots, but true 4WD will have no problem. AWD may have issues. I have visited White Pocket four times, each time in different 4WD vehicles with no problems.
I started from the north end, went south until the road dropped down into the narrow, twisty section of the wash, and turned around. The video starts where I turned around. My rental car was not up to taking on the difficult section.
@@joeisuzu89 each setting has own complexity. Film in 60fps looks so fast though I like it has very high detail and is less blurry. Now 24fps looks more cimmantic. I tried true 24hz under labs looks slightly more clear than 23.976 standard setting. Back to square lol. Hero 9 does not have superview under 24fps. Therefore gonna have use 9 under 30fps then convert to 24 in production. Happy autumn to you and all the best
What kind of vehicle were you driving? What kind of tires and psi? Did you ever get stuck, any difficulty with the sand? Planning a trip in a stock 4WD Silverado 3/4 ton truck.
Very cool, Chris. I did the Wolverine Loop in Oct 2022....camped halfway through, here's a drone vid on the site ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-YwBeS4dzBHo.html
Anyone happening to see this video might like to know this field is surrounded on both sides by very active shooting ranges for all kinds of guns. In other words, there's a hell of a lot of continual loud banging going on that echos off the hills all around. Not a very relaxing or pleasant place to fly.
Yes. Whenever I visit Yuma, I will go fly there, even with the shooting going on. I just flew there two weeks ago. I did some fpv flying with a wing and a 5" quad, shooting with a 4k camera. Will have that video posted soon.
@@joeisuzu89 As huge and open as the SW is, I still have trouble finding good open places to fly FPV where there's a decent surface for a wheeled aircraft to take off and land and where it's away from everything so I don't disturb anyone. I did find one good place as far as being very open and having a pretty smooth surface. It's Red Lake dry lake bed about 40 miles north of Kingman. The problem there is it's hard to find times when it's not real windy. And this time of year, of course it's a lot colder than Yuma but that's ok. I'm hoping to go there in January if the winds will stay away. Besides the hand launched FPV planes, I've got an EDF F-18 that needs a pretty smooth runway without grit and pebbles that will get ingested into the fan and destroy it. Plus I've got a couple more FPV planes with landing gear.
These are as fun as train rides are for me. The first coaster with a concrete track is like the one I rode in back in 1982 in Tennessee, but they had to stop this because of the coming rainy weather.
