Car curious and Tech nerd living in Stockholm trying not to own a car. Mainly to keep experiencing what's new as I think tech will be the big focus in cars going forward. Hope you enjoy!
The door openings are very small. It is super annoying to carry a baby child seat in and out of the car. Can't wait for him to be able to walk and get up himself.
Just a couple of thoughts: this is possible because the key they give to you is associated to the owner's profile in the car... They should keep the owner's profile (secured by pin) connected to a different nfc key (they keep safe) and give to you the key associated to a simple "user profile". This way you are still able to add the car to your app or but they can remove and create again a new profile for each customer everytime they assign the car to a new person. This way the car should disappear to your app. Doesn't it? Maybe Google can provide a fleet management app for large rentals... This can simplify a lot the car management (also lock the cars remotely if stolen, find my cars, monitor daily kilometers, recharges, etc.)
This has been available ever since release in my car (may 2024), we set it up like that in the garage. I was on 1.2 at the time think. I wish they would make the button have more options, for example a "favorites" thing that just sets all your preferences. Or you know, if it was allowed, make it like the XC40, where all of the settings are remembered and is tied to which key unlocks the car....
My car is presenting exactly the same sound. Also the car stinks some days after rainy day cuz water is dropping on the moving part with a net on it and evaporating later on, spreading the smell to inside the car. I have brought my car to dealer before last year and last year in Munich, Germany and they just said the drains are food and no problem. Anyway the sound is still there and the smell as well, which sucks. Can some of you somehow describe what is being done to fix in this bulletin? I will be extremely grateful!
I’ve noticed with my fob if I’m too close to the car when going to unlock it, it doesn’t unlock. Seems it needs a certain distance before it opens. Very strange and annoying
I wish my key fob worked. Delivered without charging cable. No features such as performance mode even though I have twin ultra. That’s the first day. And the last day of any Volvo for me. Back to wonderful V6 petrol Audi👌👌
Really a great video. I definitely will use this feature! Sometimes when I click on a song on the list the song won't play. In order to play the song I've to move the beam. How do I have to solve this? Thanks for your help.
Tried this a few days ago, I barely noticed it in the car I drove. It seems its gotten better with OTA updates, because for me it only held power for maximum of half a second.
Thank you, my whole family tried to figure out how to use the physical key thing and couldn't manage haha, it turns out that it was simpler than we thought
1:21 it appears that when you actually touch the arrows as QPkrlssn mentioned you actually affect change rather then pushing an area between the arrows. DUH
While you're trying to push the left or right buttons (in the video), you miss both. You push the middle of the entire button panel instead of the given button area (where the button is painted on the panel). As far as the lag is concerned, you're right there. But at least it's pretty consistent and once you get used to it (which one does after a while ... unless one sells the car before that), it's not too much of a problem. Of course it'd be better if there was no lag at all. :)
What I find actually "bad" in the buttons is the lack of edges between the button areas. There's only a single horizontal "bump" between the two rows of buttons, but nothing between the buttons of a single row. It's hard to tell without looking which button your finger is at. Of course with a lot of practise you can feel your way around just by sensing which part of the bumb your finger is at. But that's still a horrible design and UX.
@@muzsoAgreed. It’s already been updated for the 2025 model though with individual buttons separated on the steering wheel. At least Volvo is implementing these changes already 🎉
The Polestar 3 actually shows you in the dashboard which button your finger is on (just touching not pressing) so it was much easier to push the correct button
Wow. Finally a video on the LFP version. Look forward to seeing your next videos on fast recharging curve (does it really recharge 10->80% in 26 minutes?), and real consumption in different situations (urban, countryside, highway). Thx bye
My car doesn't release the cable when fully charged and in that case, the end charging is not showing on the screen either. To get the cable to release, I have to start charging again (i.e. by raising the charging cap) and then the end charging starts showing. What am I missing? You say in the video that the cable can just be pulled out when fully charged, so what am I missing?
Can you try. Isolating the power from the charger? Does it allow you to remove the cable/plug then? Home chargers in au need an isolated next to the load so this might solve this annoyance?
Looks like this car has nothing in common with previous models (not developed fully in China) - XC60 Recharge once unlocked always unlocks the charge port, you can take it out and drive away. Only if you keep the car unlocked for longer period of time without turning on the ignition does the port re-lock and charging continues...
