@@zhichitv I have a couple friends online who i play with, they destroy me every time but im learning and slowly building my angel deck ive been working on for months. Got to gold in ranked but its hard to get past that level
Phyrexian Unlife is budget and debatably better than Nine Lives when in combination with Solemnity. Lose out on the hexproof, but it also doesn’t kill you when it’s removed.
Star Wars Unlimited is a much better game! I hate to say it since I've played Magic hardcore for 15 years... Star Wars Unlimited has ruined Magic the Gathering for me... haha
I love Lazav. It's just a shame that my all-time favorite card, phyrexian dreadnought, is so expensive. But for turbo consult, have you considered Divining Witch?
I'm keen to make a 3-4 color "delver" pile with DRC, DRS, deaths shadow, bolts, thoughtseize. Basically legacy shadow/delver. Or a storm deck with Necro, dark ritual, and minds desire
Im actually working on a modern list around Death's Shadow, but just Dimir. I can really see this being strong in the format... When i get home after the festive season I want to make a phoenix deck with DRC haha. Lets see what i can brew
@zhichitv You did well, for sure, but as an example, you didn't know Reality Smasher had Haste and played it suboptimally in game 2. You should've cast the Smasher, and then swung both it and the Breaker, holding Ostone back in case they had a creature you couldn't just Trample past. The deck is still a Stompy deck at it's core, it kind if needs those play sequences to perform 👍
@@marklastname373 for sure I hear what you're saying. I have a little experience playing tron but the Eldrazi I added is new to me. I hate that my inexperience shows lol. I hope you enjoyed the video atleast 💪
nice games. the border with the card images was cool looking, but it covered your and your opponent's life total which makes it hard to tell where the game stands if i'm not paying very close attention!
Love mullyD. Seeing all the muldrotha staples that're under the budget tempts me to return to edh. One thing: why no sakura tribe elder? Rampant growth is strictly inferior. Is it budgetary? Also: the stoneseeder 4cmc "when lands etb, untap this creature, tap untap target land" + the 4 cmc enchant land that lands makes 2 extra mana when tapped package is missing- why did they not make the cut? Are they no longer budget?
So after assembling the 99 i cut sakura tribe elder, it was quite expensive for a $25 deck. Right now the cheapest version is $1.14, and i see the list already crept over $25 without it. However it was sad cutting it. Maybe i would even replace sol ring with it but i thought getting to muldrotha quicker, was better than replaying a ramp creature quicker. Springbloom druid is still solid for that style?
@@zhichitv I've found that relying on chump blocking as your sac outlet makes spore frog a redundancy, but your mileage may vary depending in playgroup. I try to avoid instants and sorceries unless I'm playing the peregrine drake/cloud of fairies(?) + archeomancer/Ewit/Twit + ghostly flicker/the other version of Gflick combo engine. You're really selling the raw power of the stone seeder hierophant + land enchantments + mana dorks that untap lands ramp package short. I can cast ulamog's crusher on t5 off almost any hand with it, and it synergizes splendidly with the drake combo by allowing you to run a redundant copy of drake in the form of the 2 land untapping fairy. You can use any means of tutoring 2 creatures, or stickfingers ripping Twit, to start the combo. Also, villainous wealth is an autoinclude.
Thanks man I appreciate it. For the longest time i wanted to build Thalia, Heretic Cathar but mono white felt a bit weak on a budget... and along comes a duo!
Ghalta is so op and an easy include in any deck with green almost won me a game the other day but i was mana starved for many turns so it was barely too late.
I love this form of video, i think the most popular way people do it so people watch the video is they put timestamps because some people are looking for specific information.
This is a cool budget deck. I used to spend a lot of time on budget cedh. We played $100 (moxfield low) leagues and tournies. Anje is a good choice. I think my most successful build was Malcolm Kediss w the bucaneer and type change combos and all the curiosity effects etc. I worked on a Magda list w a friend and we got that thing looking nearly cedh legit at $100. My $100 Selvala deck has been pretty good too. It just flat out IS going to win turn 4 if it’s not stopped. Anje is a good choice though. I think she would be a real contender in $100 cedh
Malcolm and Kediss is something i tried building in paper but scratched the list. Anje is strong because all the madness cards are cheap and available because it doesnt see play anywhere else. Hope you enjoyed the video though, i should maybe brew $100 again haha
Skullclamp was the one you were thinking of :) I'm not sure if you know the card Voidmage Husher -- it's kind of a sweet card. narrow application but it's a unique effect to have a repeatable ability counter, and probably useful in EDH where there are lots of powerful activated abilities.
Hey dude, i love it. Been wondering about Not dead after all since it came out of the Eldraine spoiler, this is one more good way to utilize it to create huge board swings. Little note, on minute 34 you could've comboed with the classic reanimate Skirk, play Putrid, sac putrid get R, with trigger on the stack you play First day and then you go off ;))
Yes Not Dead Afterall is something i would 100% use in this deck. Also i really need practice with this deck haha.. good spot! Sometimes i need to be more creative regarding how im going off.
Unfortunately, mana values are always at the top of the card. Flashback is an "alternative" casting cost, and Ovika only sees the 2 mana from Scour All Possibilities. Some alternative casting costs can work in Ovika's favor however, as is the case for delve cards. A card like Treasure Cruise costs 8, but can be reduced by 1 generic mana for each card exilied from our gy. You can exile 7 cards from your gy, paying only 1 blue mana (alternative casting cost), but Ovika sees the cards original mana cost of 8, and we get 8 goblins. Great vid btw.
I think Bone Shards might be better than Lash for this deck. It's easier to have a card to discard than to pay 4 more, imo, and you can still sac your Lancers to it.
Hmmmmm, i think paying 4 later in the game is easier than discarding. But hey both are pretty viable! I think you can discard a myr to bone shards aswell. So there is definitely synergy. Nice.
I am honestly not sure, I wouldnt recommend a specific one, these decks were basically just to see what I could build with 5 tix and see how it does in open play.
@@zhichitv I understand man :) no prob. I remembered penny dreadful exists after this so I'm brewing for that format anyways nice and cheaply. Sweet decks tho, I enjoy the content
@@akumamatataaa thanks so much MiseryX, penny dreadful is a freeform format on MTGO so its weird to find games for. Thats why i started these 5 tix decks haha. I kept them cheap and modern legal
@@zhichitv it's awesome man. Ig I'll see how it goes, it's such a brewer's paradise I can't resist it. Been eager to learn modern too, I'll be sure to try these out :) no harm at 5 tix
