Hey, James! 😊 In the video, you can see the lyrics as subtitles for each song. I hope this helps you find the song titles! I also suggest checking out the next church service online
I never read where it says the Bible is GOD breathed. I have read where it says all scriptures were GOD breathed. There werey no new testament when Paul wrote to Timothy.🤔
Thank you for your question. Paul wrote that “All Scripture is God breathed...” (2 Timothy 3:16). A strong argument could be made that, when he wrote that, he was referring specifically to what we refer to as “the Old Testament.” However, the Apostle Peter later wrote, “...just as our dear brother Paul also wrote you with the wisdom that God gave him. He writes the same way in all his letters, speaking in them of these matters. His letters contain some things that are hard to understand, which ignorant and unstable people distort, as they do the other Scriptures, to their own destruction.” (2 Peter 3:15-16). Clearly, by the time Peter wrote his letter, Paul’s writings were already being circulated and recognized by the churches as having the authority of “Scriptures”. In later Councils, the Church would officially endorse this view.
Thanks for your question. God is not a “He” in the sense of having XY chromosomes or male gametes. God is not a physical being. Nonetheless, throughout the entirety of Scripture, God chose to reveal Himself as our “Heavenly Father.” Jesus, Himself, referred to God using this terminology. And, since the resurrection of Jesus validates his beliefs and claims, we can confidently refer to God using the male pronouns, understanding that it is a symbolic and not a literal reference.
What about those who accept Jesus and repented for their sins? Do they wait for the second conning to be judged to go to heaven? The SDA church believes souls are dormant or asleep until the final judgement.
I deserve to go to hell! Thank you Heavenly Father for the undeserved mercy and forgiveness that was bought at a price I could not pay! Covered by the blood of Jesus Christ and committed to not abusing the precious grace. God owns the glory!!! Thank you thank you thank you Hosanna in the highest! In the mighty name of Jesus Christ Amen
My faith in Jesus is unquestionable. But I struggle to be a good Christian at times. I am trying to be a disciple following the path of Jesus as early disciples in the Gospels. I have prayed for help many times during hardship and Jesus answered my prayers but other times I have slipped into temptation. The most common sin amongst men since my separation of my wife of 12 years. I repent and clear my conscious for a while obeying the word of God, but after some time I am pulled into temptation by ungodly women. I feel like I am in a tugawar between Jesus and Satan. But in the end with prayer I am always steered in the right direction with unusual circumstances as if it’s Devine intervention to get out of my sinful patterns. I want to be a disciple and spread the Gospel, but I must first make better choices and lead by example. Since being single I have been lost and seems that temptation of the wrong king of women find me and very difficult to find single women with Christian values my age. When being married for a long time it’s difficult to be alone and wait to meet the right ones worthy of marriage. But if I keep falling onto the devils temptations, I will never find the one. God help me. 🙏🏼
Prayer and reading the Bible are key to strengthening your relationship with God and finding guidance. With them, you'll be better equipped to handle temptations. God's Word is clear about temptations: run from them. Don't put yourself in places or situations where you're more likely to be tempted, as we are all vulnerable to sin. Trust in the guidance of the Holy Spirit and remember that God provides for us. He knows the right person for you, and whether or not that person is in your future. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, as 1 Thessalonians 4:3-4 encourages us to live in purity in a holy and honorable way. God bless! 🙏
Just a note, it’s ok, I think, to speak up if someone is not treating you well. (I’m a survivor of domestic.) I learned, but to someone you trust and knows what to do.
God gives conviction… he gives you the reminder that you need to ask him for forgiveness. This is in strong contrast to Satan who gives guilt, makes you feel like you’re so bad you’re not worth asking for forgiveness. Makes you feel like you need to hide, makes you feel gross.
The conviction from God helps us recognize our mistakes and encourages us to ask for forgiveness, letting us know that redemption and grace are always available 🙏🙏
My son was 10, and my daughter was 13 in 1990. Waiting was espoused. It wasn’t shame, just smart. Focus on your school work, extra curricular activities, spend time with groups of friends. It worked. There were no phones, little internet, except in the computer room at school. Just understand it wasn’t a shaming thing in 98% of the population. It was not called purity, it was called “why wait?” To “wait” for the right one.
“Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Interesting that you call your church Broadway…😮
