Awesome setup. Very tight fit. I do agree that over powering these little guys is not good for all around driving. Having a bit more low end is good thing for jumps. Great job showing us this upgrade.
It most certainly is a collective pitch. With A LOT of safety features to keep it stable for beginners. Especially, those beginners who have only been flying 3-3.5 channel 4 bladed coaxial. Like the one's from Syma.
What do you think about that stock 160 amp ESC? I feel like that's just too weak for a 30+ pound truck. Mine just arrived today, and the first thing I'm going to do with it is put the Max 5 g2 combo in it.
The instruction manual kinda sucks, as it does not instruct you to push & hold the little button on the flight battery to turn it on. Took me a couple of hours and review videos like these to find this out.
It works much better if you turn down the throttle punch 2 on the ESC with the spektrum program card. You get better smoother throttle control for the skatepark.
