Does the product penetrate previous latex stain residues, or does it need to be stripped? I have 10 YO pressure treated pine boards, previously stained 3 years ago, after washing and sanding, I have a random mixture of bare wood and stain remnants.
Hello! The time to reapply depends on various factors (sun exposure, temperature changes, rainfall, etc.). On average, the Timber Oil may need reapplication in 9-24 months depending on those factors.
If the surface has already been stained, it's not likely that the aerosol waterproofer product will soak into the pores and end up being sticky on the surface. The product needs to penetrate the pores of the wood.

I used 14 gallons on my 20 × 30 deck after stripping it . It was applied with a pump sprayer . Above and beyond the deck is 2 stairs and handrails and spindles around deck and stairs.Natural was used with great results .Very pricey at 36.00 per gallon .
