Growing up, I was taught to be proud to be called a Mormon. Pres Monson had a story I loved to hear about how he was the only Mormon in his military boot camp platoon. He said, "Dare to be a Mormon. Dare to make it known." This nelson character does great damage to the church's credibility among the millennial generation.
Yes, fix the title so that it says anti-family is antichrist because before I watched it I was trying to figure out how someone might have pulled and misconstrued from her message.
Many members of the Church are using Elder Oaks' words to justify supporting the stupidity and evil of today's Democrat party. Yes, he said that we may feel the need to vote for someone of an opposing party but he sure didn't say which opposing party that would be nor did he say he "supports" the Democrat party, either. Stand up for righteousness or you'll fall for anything.
Most food storage has been literally swept away by floods or sucked away into the atmosphere by tornadoes. IOW, lots and lots of rotted food storage and wasted money. For decades, some members have had lots of food storage and for decades never used. Lots of talk during the Cold War, but the profits couldn't even get their direct line to God for God to tell them , to tell the flock; "fear not little flock, for the time for emergencies is not now, but by and by." "don't overspend or take away from your life savings for food storage." But rather talks of threats of nuclear bombs and faminesin America, complete areas of the US being wiped off the face of the map . Which never happened for decades and decades. Needless worry, needless lost money. And what did the leadership of the church do with all its billions invested in liberal hedge funds , during two major rainy day events? Almost nothing for its members . Neither collapse in the 80s nor the pandemic from 2019 to 23.. And, the plan of the church during the pandemic was to raise from $400 per month to $500 per month the amount that families should submit per missionaries . But due to complaints, they kept it at $400 per month. That's right during a pandemic and financial crisis for some the church still required families to pay $400 per month for the missionary. Make sure you pay one hell of a lot of money to make it to the highest realms of the celestial kingdom. Otherwise, the loving God of Lds is going to separate you from your loved ones for eternity.
Yeah, lots to complain and talk about, I guess. But, it's a good bet that none of us wake up each morning hoping, just hoping we get to finally use our car insurance or homeowners insurance or maybe our life insurance policy that we pay for each month. And yet, we keep paying the premiums for these things, without fail...just in case! 👍

The N.C. is a CRYSTAL CLEAR and COMPLETELY EDIFYING, scriptually-derived, summation of the most salient and essential truths of Heavenly Father's plan and the Savior’s role in that plan (this is true whether you are LDS, Catholic, or Evagelical). Christ Himself would INVITE US TO BELIEVE AND RECITE THE NICENE CREED. (* Yes, OTHER, later, objectionable creeds were proposed but NEVER WERE REALLY adopted into Catholic worship. But the Nicene Creed has been recited Every Sabbath for centuries as THE "Catholic Articles of Faith." Open up to the Nicene Creed in WIKI (or any other inbiased site.) Recite it carefully outloud. * What words (beside SUBSTANCE for now) do not affirm the role of Christ (remembering that CATHOLIC really just means universal.) What words are Or inot PLAIN and EDIFYING and Christ-affirming? ANS.: THERE ARE NONE! Christ Himself would INVITE US TO BELIEVE AND RECITE THE NICENE CREED. Can't we LDS: * Be more kind and FAIR (and less snarky) when we discuss the NICENE creed? * Actually read it before mocking it? * Decide to actually look for any good in the NC? * Cite specific words that justify our description of it as a "mass of confusion"? (I can't imagine it more clear or more faith-in--Christ promoting.) * Actually concede the primacy of the N.C. to Catholics and not imply other (truly confusing) creeds are on the same level to them as the N.C.? * Then maybe CELEBRATING the Catholic Church for creating, promoting, and weekly reciting that great faith affirming creed-- and thereby uniting so many of God's children as true and clear followers of Jesus Christ?😮
I'm so grateful for taletned people that make clips we can use while teaching, that being said, I avoid videos who take liberty to replay phases and comments that are not in the original speakers presentation. I think it is a turn off to those participating in the lesson and it is a distraction, thinking there is a technical difficulty, and a disruption to the spirit. Instead of letting the spirit teach and emphasise to the learner, the distration is created when the creator of the video adds the emphiasis, not allowing the spirit to do its work.

What covenant is being made by the people of King Benjamin? How can I make the same covenant and have the same experience? God sets the terms of covenants, and we enter in through ordinances. How can I liken the scriptures to myself if you do not explain to me what is happening here?

Most protestant clergyman I have interacted with have been very very adamant that if someone thinks they understand the trinity, then they don't, because it is definitionally impossible. They openly claim it cannot, nor is it meant to be understood by mortal minds.
Well, then, the plaque on the Kirtland Temple is a victory for Satan. It says "Built by The Church of Latter-Day Saints". I don't know why God would decree the name of the church is not negotiable to Pres. Nelson when He couldn't get the name of His church right through Joseph Smith for the first 8 years of the church's existence.

I heard it in real-time on my radio in Blackfoot Idaho....it gave me so much strength knowing our leaders are so well educated and willing to empower and encourage us to be good to ourselves and others. This is brilliant Robert! I just recently watched a clip from the leadership training from October 23 general conference and they talked about having primary kids speak and give prayers in sacrament meeting. This is a powerful example of what can happen in our sacrament meetings and other church meetings as we follow this counsel.
