Oh you have the chance for thing to happen up for every hit, I found that it made combat a little too easy.. i am trying to find a gunplay mod that makes to where raiders dont die in one bullet, but less than say 10
This mod and awesome criplling effect and death throes is fucking amazing. Better than fallout 4. I even have settlement building in new vegas , in my mod pack it us called I cant believe it is not vanilla😅
This, ladies and gentlemen, is why you need a mod that uncaps how much damage % DT will negate, it caps at like 80%. I saw the armor icons appearing confirming that your damage per shot isn't above their DT, yet you're still chewing through their HP like nothing. I know to each their own but I prefer something like that rather than how it is vanilla, just doesn't make sense chewing through that big bulky power armor with a small rifle.
@@CharlotteAren yes I know, but you will always take atleast 20% of the damage even if your Damage threshold is greater than the damage received, otherwise you'd be immune to damage aslong as your DT surpassed the damage received in vanilla, you can look up the formula for DT calculations on the wiki
@@Azure_faeThere's a mod for FNV simply called "Threshold", that does this. It increases DR's cap to 90, from 85 (which is actually kinda bad, since enemies don't use DR increasing meds, or meds in general, which is the only way to reach such high DR levels), but something you'd find more interesting, is it scales DT down to 1% of base damage, allowing weapons to deal 0 damage if they don't break through DT, unless they have at least as much damage as the enemy has DT (or perhaps close to its DT, it depends on how the calculations round). I'd suggest using it in conjunction with JSawyer Ultimate Edition mod, which rebalances a lot of NV, making it harder. It adds in DR to power armor and select other kinds of armor, keeping in-line with the intentions of Josh Sawyer, the lead director of base FNV. T-45d has about 20DR, and T-51b has about 30DR in the mod, although I could be off by a bit.
I was wondering for the longest time why I only get a slight damage reduction even though I have power armor dt/dr modifier on the TNW mod cranked to max . Thx for the info If someone does find such mod please put the link on this thread, I would greatly appreciate it
Too bad you can't have appropriately heavy body drop sounds for power armor and other things that should make big heavy CLUNKs when they hit the ground.
@@hapytreefriends78 Could you not make a custom material sound for it or is it more complicated than that? Also I tried out your WIP NCR and clothing mods. They are really good! I look forward to the final version of the pretty much complete NCR Trooper mod especially. Have you thought about doing the ranger patrol armour too? I know Dragbody's anniversary pack has a version in it, but there isn't a F model so it always looks wrong on female rangers.
Cool idea. Will PA have it's own ragdolls separate from normal armour? Also what mods are you using for the NCR soldiers and the ranger face masks? I don't recognise them.
@@paladin4449 well, for official release I'd need to pass through some checks but i do post a current wip build in modding discords for people to try it out, along with my other projects.
Kinda wished more of these reactive ragdoll mods would make headshots behave more realistically. If shot in the head, you drop like a sack of potatoes and usually fall on your back, or sometimes you do that and your arms reactively bend inwards.
Sort of, it's a collection of existing mods with some tinkering from me to make it all work. includes fixed up war mix as well as combat/non combat sets of animations.
Eh unbalanced, they shouldn't get stun locked so easy, also they should be using mini guns or flame throwers. NCR Heavy troopers underpowered as hell for a final boss fight, I should be sweating like a lvl 10 player in quarry junction.
