It did well especially on the high speed sections where I got to ride it. Some early model issues but no breakdowns.

Hi! Thanks appreciate the feedback! I actually booked all my accommodation well ahead of time. I know this isn’t a popular approach and many people say it’s a terrible idea, but I had some fixed commitments with family and needed to be in specific places at certain times. And even with some mechanical issues it worked out ok. I had a paper tracks for Africa map and a used a spreadsheet where I noted the towns I would pass through and the roads I would travel, as well as the distances and estimated travel times.

We were mostly around Björnen and VM8. The more wide open areas are above Rödkullen. Hope that helps!

I didn’t have GPX tracks I used a tracks4africa paper map. I used the GPS where there were no road signs mostly.

I could usually get 300km comfortably on a tank so there weren’t too many places I had to really worry. I’d say on average twice a day.
