Hi! The shirt is cotton mostly with a bit of elastan (cause it's stretchy) . I don't remember the brand of the paint, I found it in a hypermarket, at the art supplies section. But you can easily find online by google search paint for fabric. Any brand of paint works fine in my opinion, as long as it's destined for fabric.
I have also tried twice - once with parchment paper and once with wax paper and they both stuck to the paper and ruined the leaves(after waiting until completely cooled). What temperature do you have the iron at? Maybe that is what I am doing wrong. Also, what type of wax paper do you use? Thanks!
I use the type of paper for baking, that you can safely use in the oven. Usually I use FINO brand. I iron at the lowest level, for silk. What exactly stuck to the paper? Maybe add a thicker layer of glue? If there is not enough glue to cover the whole leaf, the leaf will enter in contact directly with the iron and may get ruined.
This clip is a great jumping off point to make your own gemstone candles…lots of ideas to tweak it and make it your way. Thanks for sharing the concept. It’s just what I needed to create my own.
Pupici 😘
