Luckily, the modern person, doesn’t need to venture into the wilderness anymore. So my take on ‘hunting’ down food is discovering where we can get our food from. It could be the supermarket, the farm shop or something we grow ourselves.
HUNTER: Whilst I would love for animals not to be killed, I do love meat. My compromise is that I try to only eat meat when I know it’s source, ideally that it is local to support local businesses but most importantly I know that the animals lived good lived and killed humanely. I try and avoid mass produced meat and ask about their sources when I am out and about.
GATHERER: The other side of this journey is around plants, fruit and veg that compliment the main dish. I believe that organic is the way forward but understand that this isn’t ac
As someone who already had a sc1 and for the last couple weeks been constantly looking at permissions, reasons etc for trying to go for a FAC , I find it mind boggling how you managed to go from nothing to getting authority to straight to 6.5 caliber . You didn’t actually say in your video what reasons you went with, was is guest staking and matter of land permissions. I only say as after looking into everything and even contacting James for training , there’s no point going through with training because it’s nearly impossible to even have reasons to apply, I’ve seen you have a few friends and contacts so that obviously helps.
It certainly burns like the real stuff and I doubt they would advertise it the way they do if it wasn’t. I’ll check in with them though just to be sure.

It’s a beauty isn’t it! Such a show stopper! This reminds me, I really need to sit down and sharpen all of mine again so thank you 😂 Alex If you are in a position to support with a small subscription then please join this channel as a member to get access to perks: ru-vid.com/show-UCdFDMz4wVDQ-ytrLobvxPMQjoin
Been following your videos and as a sc1 owner I’m looking to expand into rifle shooting target/game . I notice there’s no mention of course details for Braces training such as how many sessions a beginner would need , the cost of a 2hour sessions etc. it’s been a great back log of content to watch
Best advice is to get hold of James directly. If you reach out to me on instagram or email alex@huntergatherercooking.com and I’ll steer you in the right direction.
It will take some time to get it right but when you do it’s mastered forever. Alex If you are in a position to support with a small subscription then please join this channel as a member to get access to perks: ru-vid.com/show-UCdFDMz4wVDQ-ytrLobvxPMQjoin
It comes from the white fish trim that goes into the human food chain I believe. I tasted the food 😂 didn’t taste great as you can imagine but pretty pure and the ingredients looked good
Interesting video Alex and one I was waiting to watch, to hear more reference on line hunter qualifications! I can understand the theory side being completed on line, as many courses are but do feel it could possibly provide abuse by some on something that needs to be taken so seriously. How does Peter, control the exam section of the course I wonder and confirm the person is that whom completes the exam? I also feel that you could miss out on meeting contact's within your area to widen your horizons by the classroom experience, I remain in touch with some having completed my DSC course some time ago and as you say, getting contact's means obtaining experience. Keep up the good work.
Hi there. Thanks for all this. You’ve raised some really good points. I’m gonna be doing a complete review video and my thoughts on the whole thing so look out for that one. I’m a bit rundown at the moment so as soon as I’m back on it, I’ll get the video done and launched.
