Pretty much the age of the property, but it was only in the laundry, all the other rooms had horsehair plaster on the walls. Tell tell signs are strips covering the joints. The garage at the property had friable asbestos that came up in the building report.

from Australia as well for me i stopped getting builders report and just went with pest inspections with old houses after 4 of them i feel like the best way is to expect alot of DIY extensions issues to be fixed. if the house has been there for 50 plus years fixing it up here and there will be another 50 years i guess. in the process of doing a fixer upper and requiring to re frame the whole extension again deceased estate and leaking roof for 20 years.. as it was left unattended.
