Music of a couple varieties. Big epic instrumentals, singer-songwriter stuff, gaming soundtracks, and other random stuff.
I am no longer doing this stuff professionally (full-time anyway), but it remains my fondest hope that you might find my music interesting, entertaining, useful, and/or meaningful.
Not sure if these are interesting to folks, or if y'all would rather just wait for the more polished, finished products /shrug. I know a lot of y'all wait for the epic stuff - it's a pretty big gap between improvisational percussive acoustic and epic trailer music - but I like the idea of keeping little snippets of music coming. Either way, I hope your day is as lovely as the circumstances will permit.
So, recording chain for this track. Rhythm tones were Brainworks' ENGL Savage plugin (with some Grindstein underneath for filthy chonk) quad-tracked and hard panned, and the lead was Neural DSP Archetype: Gojira. I think I may have thrown a little extra octave on the lead in post, but not much. Didn't do a ton of post-processing or anything, little bit of highpass eq around 80hz I think. Spent more time on the synths and getting the drums where I liked them than I did on the guitars, honestly. Wanted the character of this beast to shine through.
@@drspody For sure! I had to take a look, as that industrial kind of style is sooo dependent on heavy EDM-style processing on everything else. So much compression on everything, but the guitars are more or less left alone.
Professionals! Who made a lovely virtual instrument out of many vocal performances, haha. Which I then got to work with, and tried to form into a lyrical flow. Good times!
This is by far the most shreddy lead stuff I've done, really. Not what I expected from this Absolute Unit of a guitar, but I'll take it. Turns out my giant hands do much better double tapping with this kind of real estate, lol.
Aha, thanks. Yeah, this one's been in post-production for months. Probably the next thing to go up here, I wanted to do a kind of review of the whole experience getting a custom instrument from Doodcraft guitars. :)
yay! I agonized for far too long over that section. Started with some modern country electric guitar, and went through a lot of changes until we landed on that multi-string bit. It was quite a journey! I'm glad it sits well :)

Nah, I wish. I scoured the internet for royalty-free stock drone footage. As it turns out, a lot of folks shoot rad stuff with their drones, and just want it to get used :)
Sounds pretty good. Did you build your own or did you buy one? Also, if your new guitar's input is sketchy, first thing to do is make sure the exterior jack nut is tight. If you tighten that and still have issues, then it's highly likely that there's a bad wire connection inside the guitar. You could fix that easy even if you've never soldered anything before. Just open up the back of it and I bet you'll see what's causing the problem just by looking at it. Guitars are really not complicated..
You are dead on: though there's an issue with some of these Hellraisers where they knock the input loose. You could route it, but yeah. Anyway, did wind up fixing it eventually. I'm by no means an ace with the soldering iron (or noticing that there are comments), but I do okay. Wired up my share of electronics over the years :D
So, after like... 10 years? 10 years. After 10 years, I've returned to RU-vid. Mainly because I really like my new fuzz pedal. It is what it is. Hi again!
