This song came out in 1979, but it's hard to tell from the clothes, song references and music style. I was actually a reminisce song about life in the mid to late 1960s in the US. A playful look back at a time that seemed simpler. So much had changed in American culture during that span of little more than 10 years that it warranted a fond, playful nostalgia.
Seriously? This song is so much older than that tv show… I feel it is one of the most beautiful songs ever written. It’s good that Leon Russel is not forgotten.
