Hello! Our names are Nik and Phil, and we're building a Shinobue.
A Shinobue is a traditional Japanese flute, and it sounds *^$#awesome. This is our log detailing how we built one each, and learned about Japan in the mean time.

@@cacabussa2391 mano, conheço um luthier que produz flautas étnicas. O cara é especializado em shakuhachi, mas ele faz shinobue, quena, bansuris, pifanos. É mais barato que pegar uma da taiko e te falar q não tem tanta diferença assim. Só se for shakuhacho que aí c o bambu madake é melhor
can you please be a bit more technical, like how far the blowing hole is from the node, and the distance between each hole and stuff, how long the shinobue should be and stuff.
Nice video, found some good bamboo in my shed and would love some measurements. Total length, approximate diameter of the bamboo as well as hole diameters and spacing. Hard to do in a video but if you could message me back I would appreciate it very much.
