That male doctor says ' Its jumbled in his mind and eventually he'll arrange it linearly ' thats not about K thats about the viewers😌. Tk wants us to arrange it linearly whatever way we want. 🤯come lets do it. Jumping to the scene where sam opens the script book and reads their first meet. if u pause and look closely u can notice 3-4 pages of K's script PRINTED. and their first meet is WRITTEN in pen as if its K's real life incident . Ok now, whats PRINTED there in K's NOP script is exactly same scenes we see from TK's NOP ,and whats WRITTEN there in pen most probably is K's real life incidents and not script (i.e only their first meet and first sex is written there in pen as K's real life incident ) and the scenes that where printed in K's script are as follows: 1. The first bed / brkup scene. (past in script) 2. The scene where k scold sam n leave, saying he wish to erase her from his mind .( past in script) 3. Sam meets K with chits in bowl asks him to pick n recall (present in script) 4. Scene where they run in rain, meets josiyar lady (past in script) 5. Upma scene then she leaves and comes back on Thursday (past) 6. She hugs k and cry in hotel room and leaves ( present ) ( all these above scenes where printed in K's script in same order but they didn't show each n every page of his script .) After rich boy rich girl first meet and first sex K says in voiceover to sam in bed that " The couple in the script met after long" and the scene cuts to the last pub scene where sam meets K . so this is last clue to prove that what k narrates to sam and what she read from his script is the same what she hallucinates. Basically she hallucinates the way she wishes her relationship to be . She wanted their brkup to be so smooth as in the first scene, she wanted to enjoy rain with k, keep laughing everywhere they go, k says he wanna erase her from his mind and ends up in memory loss with only her memory remaining 😂. This irony is what she wants n its all there in K's script . In last scene k tells the same ' un memory matum than nyanagam irunchu enaku ' thats what she wants so she hallucinates so. But thats not what happened in real life . WHAT HAPPENED IN REAL LIFE IS K is DEAD in an accident, so she went to depression, takes pills, hallucinates his scritps which is way more enjoyable than her tragic real life. May be they didn't even breakup, k died thats it. Proof to this is the psychiatrist gets shocked when sam says that she met K in pub . Last and a big clue TK gives is the BIRD TATTOO in her right neck the same bird is drawn n K's book (🤯man really wanna fuck our minds) . This tattoo appears in some scene disappears in some, there's no proper pattern like in all hallucination scenes it appears n in real life it disappears or vice versa nothing like that. But ive found a patternless pattern 🙂 ( paithiyam nu thonudhula). The narrator TK narrates the story in 2 ways to us 1. First way of narration is he shows WHAT SAM IS HALLUCINATING thru her POV. Example the first brkup scene, the happy moments they spend, rain scene and all..... During sam's POV there is NO TATTOO. . basically its sam's POV who is hallucinating. 2. Second way of narration is he shows like ' LOOK , SAM IS HALLUCINATING' thru a 3rd person POV that is our own POV.in those scenes TATTOO APPEARS. Proof is the last sequence go watch is keenly for the bird tattoo. It appears and disappears again n again 4 times within the same last 15 mins . this whole sequence (i.e pub to rain to home to reuniting to closing the door.) is hallucination obviously but the tattoo is not present throughout the sequence . It disappears and appears then n there, so basically TK just switches the pov from 3rd person POV to sam's POV whenever he wants randomly and wants to play with our minds. In SAM's POV she is drenched and has no tattoo but in the 3rd person POV she is dry and has a tattoo when she closes the door finally. Go look into it fellas 🥶. TK wanna make us think endlessly and not find a pattern. Remember the movie's name? MEMORY IS BUT A BIRD. 🙂 Dont fall for the title and search for a pattern with the BIRD TATTOO instead make ur own patternless pattern. Thats it tadaaaa..
💡HIDDEN DETAILS in NINAIVO ORU PARAVAI:💡 * The film is actually a game; You can play by creating new stories based on the scenes or you can use the below clues to create different versions of the stories, or you can play by finding, which scene is reality, which are Sam's delusion, which scenes are part of K's story. *In a scene where Sam searches for toilet paper, we can see the perfume name as 'Versace - The DREAMER' which might be a clue to find that Sam is dreaming/ hallucinating in the scene' But this is part of K's film. * Only in some scenes, We can see a twin birds tattoo on Sam's right side neck. The same tattoo can be seen on K's first draft of his first script. It's giving me headache to come to a conclusion. It can be for anyone of the following reasons: 1.the heroine in Sam's film has tattoo or 2. the real Sam has tattoo 3. or sam has tattoo in her imagination * In the scene where they run in rain, we can see K wearing a t-shirt with a quote about dream. * In the next scene Sam is wearing the shirt. * In the scene at 'Sin with us' bar, where K questions about the reason for the break-up, The tattoo appears on Sam's neck only when she takes out K's first draft of the script. * In the patch-up scene during climax, she doesn't have the tattoo and she is drenched in rainwater. * But at the last shot when she comes to close the door, she is not wet. and one more funny finding is: *The ciggarate brand name is 'Cancer Kuchigal' There are a lot more clues in the film for example, the dissapearance of 2000 cats, Paintings of Carl Jung's 'Redbook', Red-Pill Morpheous like the one in Matrix, The film's like a rabbit-hole where "THE MORE WE LOOK, THE MORE WE SEE". TK, I see huge resemblance/influence from Murakami.. All the magic realism.. cats getting lost, magic events, delusions.. ellame oru murakami book padicha feel than iruku.. and its always better to have multiple solutions as ending than one intented one.. actually I feel there is no one particular intended ending/explanation.. and that's the beauty of it!
