I saw this again-two weeks after first watch-and it still hits! The absolute, expert-level wizardry across multiple domains of artistic expression here are so absolutely astonishing. Outstanding art!
As an old-timer, I still find myself drawn back to this masterpiece time and again. So, apologies for the gushing praise. This isn't merely a showcase of technical brilliance; it's a testament to unparalleled coordination, unwavering commitment, and (I bet) countless hours of planning. The depth of experience and passion poured into this project is simply awe-inspiring. This isn't just agonism - it's art in its purest, most exhilarating form. I would wear this work as a badge of honor for the rest of my life. One curiosity: How much time did it take you to make it, form the first brainstorm?
Humble thanks. They say it took four months. But both Sarge and Trident did this at least halv time during this period. There will be more details in the behind the scenes episode planned at the moment.
I must admit that there are aspects of this demo I really love. The kendo stick and the last picture of the ghost are amongst those. Pictures by Red Crab.
all with respect and learning, friend, I am entering my 51 years in assembler again, I love this world, we were a group from the 80s in Argentina MEGASOFT, and I am a very big fan of you!
@@FairLight1337 yes bro !Yes friend, with all due respect I am trying to change the logo, but I don't remember very well how to do it, but don't worry there is no problem, if you can't help me, and I understand it, I will continue investigating and trying to do it, thank you very much, PS: never I asked them to do nothing to me, just help, because several years have passed since I have touched all this! , and my head is losing, memory! Thank you, congratulations for the group!!!
Very interesting and much appreciated! This summer I May have been watching more Fairlight TV than normal TV. But I didn't get how the "fake sprite" was done at the end (panoramic). Could somebody elaborate a little, or give a pointer?
Setting the scroll value of d016. If its 7 and you set it to 1, you open a six pixel wide gap, and you need to set d016 back to 7 before next row. I havent seen is explained in more details, Sorry.
Nice to know that we have the full recording, as Raf lost (or almost lost) his. I think that topic is worth a v2 version - much more can be said, and slides can be made better, too. For me the most interesting part of 'C64 behind the Iron Curtain' is the difference between how East and West looked in the 1980/90s. In the west buying a computer was simple - take a part of your salary, go to a retail shop, buy it, buy software, read manual and use it all. In the east - save half year wages, find somebody who wants to sell a computer, get it, hope it works, get some pirate software for it, find somebody who can tell you how to use it...
Indeed interesting. Quite focused on Poland. What was then not targeted was that Hungary was very early and some companies had people in Hungary doing the coding.
Next time I will have him wear my microphone. I have a new DJI Osmo setup for that. The other aspects here is that the GoPro ran out of storage space, so it cut short. Sad, indeed.
Thanks. What piece of music? Im fully sure Fegolhuzz produced and all original time, but of course there could still be parts that are similar to others.
May I ask if the demo is run on a PC emulator or on a real C64? I would love to see the real one with its own graphics. Thank you and congratulations for this excellent artwork!
All demos we record here are using capture devices getting their feed from native hardware. So this is a real c64 in action - not an emulator. Other get their material out faster due to using emulators but thats not is. That is why you should watch Fairlight demos here are they are best quality native captures. And thanks for the compliment!
Long live the Sid Chip! Long live BBSs! Long live 300 baud modem. It would have taken a whole day to download this back in the day. That’s only if I disabled call waiting. Thank you for the quality cracks and this demo just expresses the beauty of the c64. I heard some good C64 music but the intensity of the score is brilliant!
Ur the only one maybe that can pull this off: The last of the Mohicans : ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_yEhTF_teos.htmlsi=xdPqI5Vns-BDLJX7
This is number 1 the best shit ever created on a computer yo! It's awesome and I love it. I watch it over and over. It never gets old. In fact, it gets better every time I watch it! ❤ Big tech and all their AI wish they could hold half a candle to this masterwork...
