Hello attorney Jackson, an in-network doctor sent pathology to an out-of network lab. I had a procedure done at my doctor’s private practice office. The doctor is in-network with my insurance. They then sent a specimen to an out-of-network pathology lab. The doctor never informed that his office would be sending the specimen to an out-of-network pathology lab. I never signed a consent form for this. I am now receiving a notification from my insurance that the insurance claim has been denied because the pathology lab was out-of-network. I have a bill over $400. Legally, do I have anything that can help me avoid having to pay for this? By the way, I live in Florida, US.

If they 🎉sell a desperate pain patient a back brace that sells for $157 from the medical stores. Sells to patient gor $1900 plus tax. Patient told it was insurance approved she had approval I called my insurance i dont have medical equipment insurance they LIED ! But i told her i didnt need it i got one from last doctor for $3500. I fidnt knownthe codt she told me it was approved by my insurance all scams when its not approved. Thats a kick back to me one of the office employees brought it in to fit me I told her to got one last year. 1900$. For a back brace same model number on Ebay 37$ medical store $157 There has to be some law. I knew if i didnt let her sell me the brace i wouldn't get pain meds. Plus they did a test girl couldn't even put it on right a machine pressure cuffs thats probly 1200$ i bet for the test. I been abused bad and no one will listen they all protect each other.
Thank you for your informative video. Recently, I received a GFE of $119.00 about a month before a regular doctor visit at the Banner health clinic in Peoria, AZ. I'd been going to this clinic every 6 months for about 10 years and always paid my bill before leaving 6 MONTHS later, Banner sent me a surprise bill for $56.00, for which nobody in the company - even their office manager could explain why. I asked them if they were aware of the "No Surprises Act" to which they were all clueless. Their answer instead was to send me to a collection agency. And all over $56.00....😳

What if you take a picture of your office but on the corner you can see a patients foot or something. Maybe they were sitting in the corner. Would that be a violation?
Here's a question, let's say a dental company has a bunch of Doctors ( partners ) doing all kinds of services from fillings to orthodontics. All the doctors are partners so they each get a cut from the profit each month. If a Dentist refers a patient to a specialist (like an Orthodontist within the company) is the Dentist allowed to get a kickback from the company?
