@@octoconch Thanks, we do not have Cougars around where I live, so I didn't think of that. We have black bear, but they only kill young deer or scavenge a dead deer. We have coyewolves but they tend to tear up a carcass and bury it over a large area in pieces.
Thanks for the comment. This wolf is scavenging a fresh mountain lion kill. From other videos I've captured, it's determined this individual is a male. He is not part of a pack, so yes, being a loner, he's extremely jumpy. Also, wolf biologists in our area have documented several occasions of wolf mortality associated with mountain lion attacks. I'm confident this wolf knows he's playing a dangerous game
