Hello friends. I'm Naomi aka naomjoonie. I'm a BTS fan from India. I'm here to be like a bridge between BTS and the fans. There are many ARMYs (BTS fans) who are new and trying to catch up with all the old and new updates of BTS. So I try to make videos in order to help them with what had happened in the past and what's going on in the present. My channel mostly have lyrics videos because Korean language may not be known to all, so it's like a guide, I even make edits and theory videos. Theory videos are mostly related to Bangtan and TXT universe created by Bighit Entertainment. I even upload some covers sung by me and VLOGS related to my life and how I became a fan of BTS. This channel also helps to give an idea of Korean and Indian culture. Planning to make exciting videos in the future as well. Hope you would check all of them. If you want to talk to me or want to share anything you like, you can surely contact me out here:
It's a little embarrassing that I only discovered Kim Kwang-seok as a result of watching Prison Playbook. When I was in high school, I wanted to go to Russia for university. At the time, There was a relatively small company in Novosibirsk, in the middle of Siberia, developing one of the few licensed and certified Java implementations not derived from OpenJDK, with this one being particularly interesting to me, since it produced platform-specific native binaries with an ahead-of-time optimizing compiler rather a JIT generating bytecode to run atop a Java Virtual Machine; Graal was not even a thought at Oracle yet, and the only remotely similar tools, e.g., GCJ and RoboVM, were years behind and either abandoned or, in the case of the latter, only really existed with the intention of making it easier to port software to iOS; so I figured, since there were a ton of interesting opportunities for research, my goal was Novosibirsk State University rather than the, relatively speaking, less-unsual Moscow State University. I'm a bit of a crazy person, so when I decide I want to do something, I am a little hard-headed, to say the least; I banked everything on those plans [1], refused to even take the SAT, and instead spent pretty much the entirety of my final year studying Russian with my tutor from Kemerovo, waking up at 8 PM and going to bed at noon because of the time difference. Aside from, of course, like virtually everyone else who learns Russian, one of the first bands I ended up listening to is "Кино", led by Viktor Tsoi, one of the coolest and most influential musicians towards the end of the Soviet Union, a household name there to this day, whose great-grandfather moved to Vladivostok from modern-day Kimchaek shortly after the Japanese "protectorate" and before full annexation of Korea, perhaps unexpectedly, my introduction to Korean culture and Korean art came from her, a Muslim Russian girl of Azerbaijani descent, not anyone who even remotely had any ties to Korea; she loved and was obsessed with Korean films, and as things got more and more crazy in her personal life, we spent less and less time actually studying and instead binging just about every bit of Korean cinema. It took me until fairly recently, after rewatching Joint Security Area and hearing The Private's Letter, to realize I must've actually heard his music many times over nearly a decade earlier as a result of watching all those films with her. Thank you for uploading the great translation; I always come back to this one whenever I am going through one of my phases of binging his discography. It's a shame so few people abroad have heard his voice. --- [1]; Things, fortunately, worked out; although in the end, I didn't wind up in Novosibirsk, but instead ended up doing computer science in Tomsk, a smaller, academic city a few hours away, it was probably the best few years of my life; I got to meet loads of awesome people from everywhere from Zimbabwe to Xinjiang; and I have three Chinese brothers now, as a result of the crazy system, where when you first enroll, almost like the military, you're forced to bond, since get assigned a group of about twelve people, with whom you'll wake up together, study together, eat together, and attend each and every single class together every day for the next four years.
