When I clicked Run (Batch Convert LAS), it gave me the following error "ERROR 000522: Unknown coordinate system for input dataset" any clue? Thank you!

FYI for folks watching, In the newer versions of cloud compare the scalar arithmetic includes a “set” to constant value. This makes it much easier to manually classify points. Thanks for the video.

Sorry man, but as a German it is very hard to understand. On one hand because it is not my native language, but on the other hand it´s because of the bad accoustics. This is sad....

I went through this process and arcgis did not add it to the geopackage, but instead created a shape file. When you saved the data into the right spot, did you verify it by reloading the data?

Very usefull film. In the source geomorphons publication (Jasiewicz & Stepinski 2013) is probably error in the equation (1) for DΔL (terrain Openness in particular Direction and Scale) or I didn't understand something. Hence my question: In the DΔL calculations: If the positive openess (Φ) is greater than the negative one (Ѱ) (central px is higher than every pixels on the direction line) DΔL = 1; If the positive openess (Φ) is smaller than the negative one (Ѱ) (central px is lower than every pixel on the direction line) DΔL = 0; //why 0 and not -1? And when the DΔL = "-1"? - when we have flat ground? In the equation it is apear some "b" element and it is disapear the "=" symbol. Intuitively, it should be "-1" for pixels lower than the horizon, "0" for the same, and "1" for pixels higher than the horizon (as in 2.1. chapter of the publication). Can You explain me this problem?

Thanks for sharing. Much more simple than having to learn arcgis to for some simple lidar data cleanup, and this is free.

Hi, Thomas how did you install ArcPy in Jupyter Notebook?
@thomaspingel
@thomaspingel Год назад
ArcGIS Pro includes a Python installation with it, so you can run Jupyter notebooks directly in Pro, or you can start a conventional notebook server in the ArGIS Pro group. It's a conda environment that includes arcpy but also most numpy/pandas/scipy things you'd need.
@mohammadabdulmuneermognish8672
@@thomaspingel Since last weekend I am trying to use Arcgis Pro libraries by cloning them and using jupyter notebooks in anaconda then I tried VS Code but none of them worked showing error arcgisscripting error do you have any solution for that

Hi Thomas Pingel. Thank you for this video. I have tried to do a similar thing as what you did but first, my polygon doesn't show on the user interface. When I go further to clip, I don't see any change. What do you think is the issue, how did you save your shape file for use in cloudcompare?

Merci pour l'orientation. mais j'ai besoin d'aide. je me retrouve avec les resultats des pentes de plus de 800% lorsque je lance ma requête sur arcgis. S'il vous plait besoin d'aide.
@thomaspingel
@thomaspingel 2 года назад
Perhaps your vertical and horizontal units are not the same. While 800% slopes are possible, they should be very very rare. Make sure your data is either projected into a local coordinate system like UTM or that you're using the new "geodetic" method of calculation.

Hi, Sir. Thank you for your explanation. I actually have a question about curvature value. How do we determined which one is concave convex etc if my value are more then 1000? Because when I search from many source the value are in average range -1 to 1 or -0,05 to 0,05. My DEM coordinate already the same with my location. Is it have something to do with my Z factor? Hope you can help me🙏🏻 Thank you, sir. Regards, Putri
@thomaspingel
@thomaspingel 2 года назад
It could well be the Z factor, but also ESRI multiplies the curvature values they calculate by 100x to make the numbers more relatable. webhelp.esri.com/arcgisdesktop/9.3/index.cfm?TopicName=How%20Curvature%20works
