The political problem the US has is not Kamala Harris, who by European standards is center and not even center-left wing (Europe’s left is sadly still very anchored to Social-communism policies and values). The problem the US has in terms of politics is the total lack of a Meloni’s equivalent. The Republican party wants people to have unrestricted access to guns and rifles, not caring about the huge safety issue this has created in the past few decades in the name of profit and with the excuse of the 2nd amendment; they want the health industry to be fully private and thrive at the expenses of the population they are supposed to serve (it was Obamacare to obligate insurers to cover people with pre-existing conditions for the first time); they want corporations to be treated as people and to be protected against any limits to their reach, even when they can harm the consumers; and the republican party also wants certain nation in the middle-east to do whatever they please, even beyond any legitimate boundary and with no limit in sight. No right wing party in Europe would do nor wants ANY of that. So, to those Americans cheering Meloni, be aware, she is against all this crap the American “right” supports, thankfully.
