Honestly. Ive seen and been inside better homes in remote places. That being said this is in the innercity of Toronto. Rosedale has some old families and old " wealth " within. Just not enough country side appeal. Rosedale was much more Roaedale in the 80s and 90s and I am sure before those years. I went there recently during Covid years and its lost its Rosedale appeal. Things change and change is NOT GOOD. The service in the restaurants was poor and the guest's seemed like outsiders as did the bar and restaurant owners. Back in the the 90s there were British owned pubs with actual British food and billionaires like David Thompson would stroll in. Back in the 80s there were Rolls Royce cars in most of the driveways and the restaurants hosted black tie and tux events. It was the BEST ... BACK THEN ❤

I've always felt that Leaside is overrated - especially for the price. The homes are nothing special from an architectural standpoint, the lots are not that large, and until the Crosstown opens they still do not have mass transit nearby
Leaside today is a totally different place than it was 40 plus years ago. There probably wasn't a better place to grow up in back then. It was basically a middle class area with affordable homes. Totally unlike today. Until the mid 60's, it was a town within a city. A very strong community feeling. It had its own police force and fire department. I don't see the same vibe happening in Leaside now. But that's life. Thanks for all the great memories though.
