Amazing I was just talking to somebody about this couldn't remember how long ago it was that I saw it...... we were talking about back in the day cops used to be able to chase you everywhere with the two wheel drive car😅
My great grandfather used his Ford LTD as his farm truck. He would fill it up with chickens. According to my late father great grandfather would only buy LTDs.
I had a '96 and damn I still miss that boat. Up front bench seat meant you could pull your girl right by your side. I also slept in the back seat many lunch hours.
I mean, it's basically a Ford F-150, with a sedan body on it. Probably built more stoutly than any Mopar/AMC/Stellantis product made since the 60's, with the exception of the Ram 2500+3500+ etc.
Never underestimate the capabilities of an American body-on-frame sedan. There's a reason this style of car reigned supreme for most of the 20th century.
