Hey everyone, I'm Matt and fishing is my obsession!
I started fishing with my Dad and Grandfather from a young age, and I haven't put down a rod since.
Bass and trout fishing were the start of my fishing career, and I have since targeted pretty much any species I could find within driving distance. My recent obsessions have been carp fishing, catfishing, and fly fishing.
I am very simplistic with my angling, and want share with you the simple, but effective methods I have learned through many years of trial and error. Fishing can be simple, fun and affordable with the right guidance.
I hope you enjoy my fishing how to's and tutorials! Grab a seat, watch some of my videos, then get out there and catch some fish!
I am 58 years old I take my fishing equipment to the oldest guy around and told him I don’t know how to tie to the spool, and he do it for me😂😂😂😂 while thinking and thinking how a grow up man don’t know how at this time😂😂😂😂😂 , I do it to my dad, he goes nuts😂😂😂😂😂
I’ve never tied line to a spool with anything other than the most basic knot known to man. If you get spooled and have to rely on the friggin knot attaching your line to your spool, that fish is gone regardless.
Or just tie an overhand. You eventually get so much line wrapped on the spool that you don’t a super secure knot, just one that won’t slip until the line wraps around the spool enough times.
If you just lay the line into the groove on the spool a couple of times and attach a small piece of masking tape, you won't need a knot. Or at least that's the way I've done it for 40 yeara.
