Tesla Design is so wasteful !!! They made the Battery packs disposable. If a few cells go out throw out the 98% good cells into the landfill.....Save the planet my ass !!

Sure, sink enough money in a project, and it most probably would end up working Electric motors in boats, are not the problem per se, the Batteries and Control Management complexity (ie COST) are (let’s skip for now the boating limitations of “weight” and space) Some people commented “many people would buy it”, oh hell no, it would be so stupidly expensive, that only deep pockets with secondary reasons would, otherwise it makes NO FINANCIAL SENSE at all Electric “fans”, seem not to understand (…..or want to) the environmental cost of Lithium batteries, both direct cost (land destroyed) and secondary (none of the heavy machinery used are electric, nor the ships that carry the raw materials are). Nor they seem to understand “how” is that electricity delivered from the “miraculous” wall plug is generated…….by “magic” it ain’t, nor is produced by solar (at a large scale) So, kudos for your (may I say “very expensive”) exercise, now your RIB can go 53 miles an hour for maybe 15 minutes………. For those of you who complain about the Carbon Dioxide emitted by combustion engines, have you ever looked into HOW Photosyntesis work for plants growth ? It’s simple, only 3 elents, and it,ll surprise you What minerals go into a Lithium battery ? Lithium, Cobalt, Manganese, Nickel and Graphite. Boy, that’s a lot of unhearting, innit ? 500,000 pounds of heart need to be removed and processed (by heavy machinery) in order to gather sufficient minerals to make 1 Tesla battery I believe none of you has been shown the “environmental cost” of your dreams, as the Electric Dream is just a marketing ploy to make you feel the urge of spending more money in a product with the moral benefit of “saving the planet” from a sure catastrophe.......as if
I thought the four-blade racing prop might be a bit aggressive, the three blade gives you the "jump to lightspeed" we all know and love. Awesome project and must be a blast to drive.
Amazing congratulations for your very nice Electric boat sir! I have to say try it without the hydrofoil on the engine . Sometimes you can go faster. Some good research saying anything good about that. More effective on big boat to fly at lower rmp.but the result is not so impressive. I remove mind and the rpm Higher faster than with it. And between you and me, you have enough power to fly strait very easily . Thats my opinion. And i speak french so, sorry if you have to work hard to understand trying to do my best without Google 😆😎✌️✌️if i remember i Never see a racing boat with that

Nice job on the conversion! Do you have any efficiency numbers for wakeboarding speed and full speed? Such as Wh/mi or watts at a few different speeds? I'm looking at making my boat electric and wondering how large of a battery I'll need.
Im a totally ignorant on repairing an electric car in any way. But Im trying to save money from fuel prices from my gas TC. DO you recommend I buy one of these, If i dont have the ability to repair it myself? I live in Dallas. Also do you know if the battery capacity can be upgraded will more efficient and bigger ones?
If you dont know how to diagnose an electrical problem on a car or even know how to read a elecrical schematic then you shouldn't even be thinking about it. These were a test run and theres a reason why when ever you find one they always have sub 25k miles. The azure company who made these went down under so good luck finding parts. Also they ALL had problems, it was a complete flop. The only people who should even be thinking about buying these are electrical experts and people who are gutting it to put there own electrical system.
I'm sorry to say this but this thing is not impressive. I have a 150 horsepower Johnson on a 19'6" boat that can get on plane in 3 seconds. Its a little bit slower but my boat is huge compare to that tiny ass rhib. Ill stick with gasoline.
It's cool tech but I had Achilles 124 sport with 70 hp tohatsu pulling barefooters and costing (at the time) 9-12$ a day. Not sold but I did get a fat tire e-scooter and 70-90 mile range (terrain) off bluetti solar. I get the hype but storage is held back, the earth is a battery it just needs non compromised or corupted frequency bands for transmitting and reception. Designated widths for propagation reliability. ( Energized lay-lines as the old school pyramid generating portal ionization and magnetic defusers did pre-bible,... Not my first apocalypse, or plans to be a last. All is well
I've had a motorboat most of my adult life and they've all been outboards that would be something really cool not to hear the engine running I was happy when I bought the forestroke it was a lot quieter But this is a whole new level of quiet.
How much do these go for? I recently bought one with 11k miles. I need it to charge faster than what it does. I commute 36 miles one way to work. With a range of only 62miles puts me in a dilemma
@@fullsendgarage6137 Im looking into buying a ford transit van for my mobile mechanic business and came across one of these at the dealer and was surprised. Never knew ford made them back then. Also the one at rhe dealer only had 25k miles and was thinking to myself.... huh....10 yr old van..... only 25k miles..... something smells fishy. I can understand why somone would want to buy this because initially i was like " holly shit theses just got even cooler" but then reality kicked in and my rational mind kick in and was like nope. There's a reason why theres a very few of these. Unless your mechanically inclined id say stay away from these. id only by a shell and covert it myself then to start when something were the company went out of business.... i feel sorry for you my friend.
Hi, just saw this. I have one myself and have triggered the HV safety check myself a few times that will disable relay, and some charger intermitant contact that also disabled charging. You did not say what error code you got? Did you not try to read the canbus first? I also added side window and then added four extra brusa chargers for three phase 32A faster charging. Tell if you still need help. /Johan
I have a 2011 Azure Transit that wont turn on and blinks red when I hook up the charger. A lead mechanic that worked on these told me he thinks it's a voltage sensor for pack B. Any idea where this is in the pack?
@@Roxireeree Hi, we know some sensors is in bms but we first read the can error-code to get some hint where to look first. I have had a few of that red blink charge error as well but for me was most probably a loose connector, I checked and pushed the one on front ecu, with many cables in and out, the charge-can-starter little blue below and most important the three on the charger that points down from the charger that I also disconnected checked and then put back. That has fixed two of my charge redblink issues at two different times. But yours could be different. Other common issues is hv-disconnect, for leak-connection to 12v ground or loose battery terminal. one common one is the heater that can be disconnected and put a loop cable in the smaller white contact to bridge the hv-disconnect.
@@johthe Hi! I am looking to purchase an azure transit connect electric, it was used as a parts delivery van at a local Ford Stealership. It has 94K miles on it. They had trouble with it a couple of years ago, so it has set for a while. I checked it out with a charged 12vdc battery installed and it starts, and moves forward and reverse. The traction battery has about 5 miles left in it. Problem is when I attempt to charge the Pack with a J1772 EVSE, it shows green for about 3 seconds and then goes to red blink mode. I saw your advice for checking plugs, but I am not sure which plugs you are talking about. could you help me figure out what direction to go here, I have limited access to the van at the moment, not sure I want to buy it until I can figure out if it can be charged up. Love the fact that you even tried it in the first place! I used to sell the Electric Ox Multi-Purpose electric tractor up here in Canada and MAN do I miss that rig!!! The drives blew up on it too many times to count and then the company shut down so it has been sitting in my garage on blocks for years now :( That tractor could plow snow with worn out rear tires and no weights ( heavy batteries ) and was a dream to work with...anyhow... You're very inspiring to people like me. I just wish I had the means to do more of what you are doing. Carry on...love the stuff you do! Cheers, John ;) P.S. About your ZTR...I did watch that video and left a comment on it. I have talked to both the manufacturer of the motors for that rig AND to the CEO/Pres of Mean Green Mowers and where I'm just a "little guy" they both brushed me off. They weren't interested in dealing with me. At the time I even had some spare cash to even buy a drive system but I wasn't an OEM so nothing happened. I've hounded other motor suppliers like SilverWolf Motors and Magnomatics and there just doesn't seem to be any interest in helping the "little guy". Give me a day and I'll get back to you with more on my tractor as I have to dig up some photos and other stuff so you can get a better idea of where I'm coming from on the situation. I have a working one of these, but the battery life is about 65% depleted. When you had the battery pack open, were you able to determine the makeup of the individual cells? Thinking of trying to rebuild my battery pack with new cells. Thanks for the video.
Interesting thing is cell level fusing and temperature sensors, local manufacturer are not maintaining these two factors. Since it's Tesla manufacturing embedding system. Do we have any other options to maintain cell level fusing and temperature control ...?
