Bonjour! As we are not allowed to sing this year in Music class (thanks COVID), I've been using ASL and showing my kids videos like this one. I would like to know - what is the actual sign being used in the chorus that looks like a "d" handshape with the open palm behind it? In one case it is stationary, and in the next verse it's "hitting" the other hand?
Do you mean where it looks like they're hitting the "d" against the palm at "the sharpest words gonna cut me down..."? That's the sign for negative/negativity - the "minus" in the palm.
First of all, kudos to you all for giving up your spring break to work down at Gallaudet! Secondly, WOW - what an amazing video!!! You all did an absolutely amazing job. I am so proud that my daughter is involved with such a great group of committed young people. Thank you for sharing your talents and gifts.
