Thank you for the measurements in cups. I haven't yet bought a kitchen scale, so I needed this option. I also appreciate your tips and nicely paced demo video. My starter floats, so I'm going to try making a loaf this week.
I like how you described minimalism. It’s so good to declutter but minimalism seems so negative if you’d like to keep things or are using the items. Making it manageable and being smart is key
I just found your channel! I subscribed! I’m a homeschool mom of 4 and also Canadian. I have a homeschool/lifestyle channel too. I love finding other homeschool moms on youtube especially Canadians. 😊 This video was so motivating, I love the idea of using kinder surprise toys. My older two keep them with their legos to play with.
What sort of routine do you do for the History Plus? Do you do their worksheets or anything beyond just watching the videos? I'm trying to see how I could fit this in. Thanks for your video!!
We just watch the videos ! Usually on Tuesdays they sit with a snack and watch 4-5 at a time. It’s worked out great. We tired doing work sheets but I found sitting around and having conversations about the videos was a better approach for us
My 8th grader likes one binder for each subject (she has ADHD and needs that system to be able to keep up with putting her papers away), but my 10th grader wants a large binder with dividers for all subjects (he's a nturally organized kid).
I use a coffee grinder to grind my wheat berries, so mine will turn out chewy. I scald my khorasan wheat flour first. This is one of my favorite recipes.
Hi, so do you have any tricks for making a starter also? I have tried 3 separate times to make Starter and keep failing. It shouldn't be that difficult from all the darn videos I have watched yet here I am asking for help. lol! I did the 1/4 cup King Arthur All Purpose Flour and 1/4 cup filtered water. Feed it every 24 hrs same rate and kept in my stove with the light on between 75-79 degrees as that is the warmest place in my kitchen and after 6 days still no big doubling or tripling or really much. A few tiny bubbles but that is about it. Frustrated.
Two options! One: call out on any local Facebook group if anyone has starter to share, all you need is a few tablespoon and usually people are happy to share. Two: I have a blog on starters you can check out but 14 day is usually the minimal to establish a healthy starter. Helpful tips: try adding in a little rye flour to give it a boost and add a little less water to make it really thick.
Thank you for the quick reply. I will try adding a little more flour this morning on it's feeding. I don't have Rye but do have a good unbleached Whole Wheat Flour @@Eastpinehome
Ian interested in this flour myself, glad to see you taking about it. The bread you made looks delicious! What is the name of your mixer? I noticed the dough hook is different from most. Keep the recipes coming girl, thanks!
Hey Girl, Happy Sunday and welcome back. ❤ I enjoyed learning more about your homeschooling schedule and how you do things in your home. ❤ your Christmas tree is beautiful and I love all of the ornaments on it and the lights you used. Good work on this video and I can’t wait for the next one! ❤🥰
Hey Samantha, Happy Wednesday. Thank you for sharing your canning and bulk pantry with us. ❤️ I love how you have organized your pantry by the type of food. Also it’s such a smart idea to clean out your empty mason jars and placing them back on the shelf so you know how much canning you can do. ❤️🥰 We all have to experiment different things to find out if we like them or not or we will spend our whole lives wondering what could have happened. ❤️
These recipes look amazing!! I love the idea of having apple pie filling at the ready. When you make your regular apple sauce, you do put cinnamon in it? I’ve always wanted to make it and you made it look so easy!
Hey Samantha, Happy Wednesday. Apple strawberry and apple blueberry sauce sounds delicious, I have never heard of either one before. ❤ I know Im one of those people who will get tired of something after a while. ❤ I love watching how you make apple sauce and canning 🥰
So happy that I found you. Love these kind of videos. My favorite fall recipe is (Pumpkin Bundt Cake With Maple Brown Butter Glaze) it's so moist and full of flavor. Looking forward to more of your videos. With lots of love❤ Elizabeth
Just came over from Danielle's channel and I'm happy to have found you. Just started watching but I can already tell this pumpkin recipe is one I can really get behind! Have a happy Friday!
Hey Samantha, Happy Thursday. Thank you for showing us your thanksgiving prep and how you host your thanksgiving meals in Canada. ❤ I could never cut into/put my hand in the turkey, It would be too gross for me. I never had a turkey with butter but it sounds delicious. ❤ Rolls are always my favorite part of the thanksgiving meal they’re so delicious. You won my heart over with that pumpkin pie, I love pumpkin anything. ❤
Hey Girl, Happy Thursday. I am so glad you and Danielle are collaborating in this video, you are both down to earth people. ❤ There’s nothing like you girls collaborating with Danielle making a meal dish and you making a desert perfect idea. 🥰 I am definitely going to try caramel apple dip and the pumpkin bars. I have a sweet soft for all of the bake goods and I enjoy baking.
