😂may the mercy of the Lord, no matter the religion , reach all those in Florida and give all strength to deal with all the destruction and hearthache. Amen Robert. God bless all affected.
This storm is going through the area I live in I went to a friend's house in Jasper Ga first time I have ever bugged out because of a storm thanks for the prayers
Hi Robert-After watching Mac's recent review of the Kuryakyn luggage, and his mention of your detailed review, I had to watch your episode for sure! Thank you for that. I was not aware of this this style of bag, and I sure do like how the profile works into the Honda Gold Wing backrest. I currently use a First Gear Dry Roll Bag (40 L size) and place in in that same area. Hey-Quick question, since your Ford Bronco (full size) was featured in the video....How do you like it?
Mark, the bag was form fitted for the Goldwing. Yeah it may hamper the trunk slightly but that wasn't an issue for me on my trip to CO. And boy does it hold a lot of stuff. Thank you for watching and for asking about the Bronco. We are a lifelong Ford family and every time we would go to Colorado I would rent a jeep so that we could go exploring the 4x4 roads. So we were so happy when Ford announced they were bringing back the Bronco... but for the first couple of years production problems caused delays, and even if you could get one they were pricing them $10k over sticker. Finally, a few years later we found this 4 door Bronco Wildtrak on a lot that someone had ordered but got tired of waiting on. We absolutely love it. But understand what you are buying... it's not a "comfort" vehicle, it's a "Capable" vehicle. This SUV will be in our family for many many years to come.
@@WilliamCrothers-e9q the NeoTec 2 was noticeably noisier than the NeoTec 1… I owned both. But I solved it by buying an F4 customs windshield (stock width) with the lip at the top, and the Shoei RF1400 full faced helmet… all of that, did the trick. 👍🏻
Thanks for the great report on the equipment you used, very helpful! I hope you can get Mac and Bryan to at least make an appearance on one of your videos - I'd like to know more of the inside scoop on Bryan's purchase of Cruiseman's former Goldwing, if possible.
It's great to see you out and about again, Robert! I so enjoy your vlog for the quality conversation and observations you always offer. In my saved playlists labeled "Goldwing Talk and Ride," you are the predominant contributor for a good reason. This was a perfect one! As you know, it is my plan to get a new GW after the New Year and my list of accessories will be decided from your list and Cruiseman's suggestions. I would have enjoyed a snippet of conversation with Tom on this one. Maybe next time. Ride safe, my friend, and as you say, albeit it is virtual in nature, I do consider you a friend, and living in Wimberley, I would have to get up a little earlier than you guys to make the coffee meet-up, but you can bet I will once the new GW is in my possession. I will not ride my stripped-down Road King for that turnaround LOL!
I had plans to include Tom, a brief conversation at the table but the restaurant was quite a bit more full than I anticipated. Feels weird filming in a room full of people. So I didn't get any footage but I certainly didn't want to leave Tom out as that was my main purpose for the day. There will be more opportunities. I bet you can't wait to get that Goldwing, and 50th anniversary at that. AND, ok Wimberly is quite a haul for breakfast :) You are certainly welcome.
I have 2 neotec 2 helmets. I did have the Integrated intercom. It was terrible. I went from a pactalk bold to the sena. It lasted 3 days. I put the pactalk bold back on. I wish the mesh technology would work across sena and cardo. I agree the neotec is heavy. I have a c4 to c7 fusion. I was hoping the neotec 3 would be lighter. I've heard not. The ultimate seat. I am waiting on samples to aprove the colors and texture. The stock seat is pretty rough. Im glad of your review of that seat. When i met you guys on my way to Ouray, my butt hurt. 2 up, it's even worse. I used the air hawk on my trip on my vstar 1300 to Key West. I have the BT moto ecm flash. I noticed no difference in fuel economy. I, too, got in excess of 50mpg. I had a total trip average of 47.6. That includes riding around Durango and back in to Abq in pretty heavy traffic. I want to thank you guys again for your videos about that trip early on. That was a well needed break from everything that was going on in my life. Just a beautiful trip. I highly recommend it. Be safe.
Hey there Robert, thanks for your performance video. It's always nice to hear how things worked out on a long road trip. We have to take the good as well as the bad. I know you were a little worried about your neck and I am happy your new helmet and camera mounting helped with that issue. It seems like the Bluetooth and Navigation are always an issue but we figure out how to deal with it as we go. Great community of people here and I am blessed to be part of the group. Ride safe my friend.
Hi Robert, it is always a pleasure to see you. It was interesting comparing notes on our Colorado trips. Thank you for coming to Arlington for breakfast. Thank you for mentioning my channel. I think that you would really like the highway pegs. I did not have them when I made my trip but I put them on as soon as I got back. I now have the Goldstrike 3 way adjustable highway pegs. I love them! I will be praying for you and your family. Hope to see you again soon. Ride safely, my friend!
Tom so very kind... after I left this morning I thought dang, I should have at least got a photo of our very similar bikes next to each other.... Next time !! God Bless you Tom.
Thanks for sharing. My wife & I rode the Cortez, Durango, Silverton & Ouray route several times, even rode the steam train out of Durango. We also toured Estes Park but then fell in love with Santa Fe, Española, Chama (another steam train ride), Tierra Amarilla where we bought a hand-woven tapestry/ rug on payments to the maker via a handshake deal. I haven't ridden for about 6 weeks due to knee replacement surgery... not fun.
Oof Nick! Knee replacement, sorry bud, but I hope this temporary set back allows for extended life on the bike ultimately. Thanks as always for watching and commenting !! Hi Mary !!
Hey there Robert. Great run down of an equipment review. Yes. I do agree with you. Highway pegs are a necessary accessory for a long trip. I couldn’t do without mine. They make it a lot easier to last longer on the bike between stops even with an upgraded seat. That ability to stretch out is invaluable. Thanks again for your video work from one of your Canadian viewers.🇨🇦
David, welcome back and thank you for tuning in all the way from Canada! My camera want's to get up there very bad !! It's on my list. Thank you for the kind words and for watching !
Well I hope you enjoy your upcoming Iceland trip. There was a note on the weather channel yesterday to watch out for the northern lights but we are a little too far south and far to much light pollution. They really are stunning. I’ve seen them in northern Saskatchewan.
Should have let us know about the get together we would have come over. That location is about halfway from our house to the normal breakfast location.
@@GoldRyderOne Take your time and enjoy every single mile Mac. Fuels stops stretch out, hydrate or more frequently if you feel it. Wonderful times await. Slow & steady mate.
A lot of good information, Robert. Foot pegs and the F4 Custom Windshield are in my long-term plans. My current windshield is the Show Chrome tall. Again, good information.
You should do a no talking ASMR video where you sit on your new Gold Wing seat and pop all that bubble wrap while staring into the camera with your best "Blue Steel" face on
Thanks for the PSA! Helpful. Your comment about the Vantrue F1 cabling and remote is puzzling. Vantrue has the challenge of trying to accommodate all kinds of bikes and all kinds of install locations on each. For example, In the Gold Wing world some want the control module under the seat, others in the trunk, and still others in a saddlebag. There are other bikes where all the cabling is needed due to some crazy cable routes that are required to hide the cabling. The remote provides the ability to do things while riding like save a clip or check power and GPS status- all without having to mess with the app on the phone. The remote also has the GPS antenna built in. Of all the different crash cams I've installed, Vantrue is the cleanest/simplest install. Maybe consider coiling the cable so it can be tucked in and hung between the rear fender and fuel tank. That would clean things up.
All valid points! I guess I wish they would design a wire that could be spliced to fit … OR we are only talking about the remote switch which is unnecessary… allow the unit to work without it OR provide a wireless remote.
Mark, my pleasure. I received the extended positive terminal screw today from Traxxion, so I’ll be putting that on the bike and reinstalling the pig-tail for my jump starter…. Thanks for watching !!
@@bluedragon2824 right now I think Traxxion only offers the left side mount. But RAM had a mount for the right side handle bar and I have both for my photography.
@@robertwhitemoto Traxxion now has both a left and right hand mount. I only need one mount, so was just interested in your point of view if there is an advantage of one side over the other for video camera views
