Easier said than done to buy cards at the right time. The charts of the Chunkachoo and the Vmax are nice, but look at the graphs for the Moonbreon, or some other cards of the SW&SH era. Those graphs just go up and up. Even the Magikarp alt art is going up and up. So these cards had to be purchased asap when they came out. Cant predict the charts, mate 👍
I genuinely believe, if you hold out after initial release - buy the single when the hype dies down, you will definitely have success overall, as always, there are outliers in all data - this strategy wouldn't have worked for the Umbreon Vmax, Magikarp AR, with almost all other cards, there'd great success though, I'll make a video down the track with more of my examples like Pikachu Vmax, Charizard Vmax, Charizard Hidden Fates right now is under 1.2k AUD - this card was fetching well over triple that ad a PSA 10.
@@vconpokemon I hear you, and i do partially agree. Its not just the Moonbreon and Magikarp that dont fit the theory tho? The Fusion Strike alt arts, many alt arts from Evolving Skies, and even some newer cards like the Greninja follow that other path and only (seem to ) go up. I know they get hyped, and fomo'ed, but that hype sure lasts long :). I can explain it, but it is undeniable imo? Not here to argue tho, just saying. You do you, mate 👍
We're mostly agreeing - the outliers may represent 0.5% of all cards released - Gengar vmax, greninja, magikarp, giratina, umbreon, of course, when we look at all cards released - Gold, Rainbows, trainers, secret rates, alt arts, most drop significantly after fomo- going by your fusion example, all cards excluding the espeon alt art and gengar dropped. It is a fun game of picking out the ones that hold up after release hype. Thanks for the engagement appreciated!
Some additional info for clarification: Terapagos UPC: The energy cards are not just regular energies. They are (so far) unique holo printings of the new crystal energies that were introduced in Stelar Crown. A lot of people, including me, think they will look pretty cool. Older releases show that cool-looking energy cards might also hold some value. The promos are already known as well. You could’ve just shown them. Greninja UPC: It’s not that it has 2 packs less because of Greninja. The Charizard and 151 UPCs only had 16 packs as well. Terapagos just has 2 extra packs for some reason. The promos are very underwhelming for a big part of the community. Especially since we had the very nice Greninja SAR and the Shrouded Fable promo that could’ve very well been included in the UPC. The “etched foil card” is the terra Greninja since terra exs always have some texture. And yes, one of the two terra Greninjas is the metal card. It’s just not visible on the picture. Charizard SPC: The promo is boring, yes. But at least this artwork hasn’t been printed in English before. It was a Japan-exclusive in the Kanto starter decks that also featured the Squirtle, Bulbasaur and Charmander IRs. PTCG Classic: If you enjoy playing casually with a friend, I can just encourage you to buy one if you can get a “cheap”one. I got one for 240€ (retail 500€) and I don’t regret it. Sadly, the inside is not leather but everything is very good quality! 😊

The metal cards in previous UPC like Arceus V/Vstar "look" like the real cards, so the picture of the Greninja ex next to a Greninja ex very well could be the real card and metal card next to each other, but maybe not.
I would be underwhelmed, i do think youre right too, it just seems unlikely the Pokémon Company would reissue the Shrouded Fable Collection Box Greninja promo as a metal card
