My channel is mainly set in woodland , I use and review knives and tools. I love to light fires and experiment in many different ways. I'm honest and I don't take myself too seriously. I occasionally show how to make and modify Bushcraft related items. Website bushtools.co.uk
Stunning work as usual and fantastic to see as ive almost saved enough for a bushtool to add to my MK 1 , you keep up this level of workmanship and i may have to become a collector 🤔
im having problems with punching holes for sewing, they allways go out unprecisely to my markings. What do you do to allways punch your holes out precisely in and out?
@@RobEvansWoodsman i do have a drill press. I tried doing it with it, but it kept pulling the heck out of the leather when i reversed the drill. Do i need a specific drill bit?
@@RobEvansWoodsman yep, i was only able to go on Friday, as on holiday on Sat, which meant it would have been a 7+hr drive there and back on the same day, only other option was to get the weekend ticked and leave Friday as you can get there on Thursday.......still, I'm sure you will do well as the honest quality of your speak for themselves when you see and hold them
The mora companion HD was my first bushcraft scandi. Though I love that fact I can use it and abuse it, it was a bit troublesome with feather sticking and basic carving. When I transitioned to a Kellam Puukko with a thin blade, I was amazed with the difference.
Great Sharpening Hand Sharpeners frm Dmt. I Do Like the i do like the Spyderco Double Stuff. and The Ezelap Folding Daimond Handheld Sharpeners. ❤❤❤🔪🔪🔪😎🤘
Love The Way You Use Common Sense (Welsh Wisdom!) TO Correct the Haters Brother! Another Great Video Amigo ! 😝👊💥💥💥🪵🪵🔪🔪🔪🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥😊☝️🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🏴🏴🏴💯💯💯😎🤘
Thanks Rob. I bought one because it was so beautiful. But I ended up returning it because of the small grip. I don't understand how knife makers could justify that design. There's simply no support for your forearm and wrist. So, functionally not a reasonable choice.
Having had the pleasure of meeting Rob on Friday, when I went to pick my MK2 up, all I can say is apart from being a true master of his craft, he is just the most genuine bloke you will ever meet. Thank you so much Rob. Only just got home after camping fri,sat and sunday night, and can say apart from sleeping this knife has barely left my hands. Only going home now due to work committments and the fact my mrs thinks there is another lady in my life. Which is true, it's Rob's MK2, which ironically she paid for, for me. All I have to do now, is tile the bathroom. You know what I mean Rob 🤣. Thanks a million butty, this knife is truly beyond my wildest expectations and I will without doubt be ordering another. It is a work of bloody art. Cheers Rob. Spk soon. 😍👍😍
Bit late to the conversation, I applied for Alone and Naked and Afraid a few years ago. Glad in a way that I never heard back from them. For the three options I would go with - 1, A full size Bow Saw, no folder can compare. 2, John Wiseman B model, excellent chopper. Used it for a few years so I’m very comfortable with it. 3, Leatherman Pulse, old classic. Again I’ve used it since day one, even built tractors with it. Can’t remember the full list of permitted items, a good few of my choices were the food items, also to be used as bait for traps. My thinking was little food catches big food, Squirrels can’t resist a nut on a stick.
@@RobEvansWoodsman Not even if you applied for Alone UK, filmed in Canada. They want the type of people who live their life through social media, the kind that tell you what they had for breakfast while eating their lunch while weighing up the options of what they are having for dinner. They want every minute of your day on camera, with a running commentary.
@@RobEvansWoodsman I think they were all set up. Your not truly alone, you have a handler and a team behind you. They tell you what you can and can’t do, and your hooked up to a GPS tracker just in case you do wander off alone. It’s all TV.
I use 30" bahco bow saw and works great up to 10" rounds. Even use one hand on top to give assistance. I cut them in the wood 5 foot long and then take home and use my electric chainsaw to cut down to 10" lengths.
I to didn’t even know that fire steel technique was a thing. I just did it one day, out of laziness! That, and I didn’t feel like kneeling down in the snow. Great video, and review, brother!
preparing food or hunting with scandi will not be good either, pastry chef to your cakes, Esse 6 is a Tactical Knife not Bushcraft, many stupid people.
💥I’m going to have to start wearing a “drool cup” when I watch your videos…such beautiful work I forget my mouth has fallen open!! Truly exquisite, Rob💥
