Couple things here. Men have testosterone at 10x the level of women. It makes us much more volatile. Its the reason men know not to stare at each other in public, the reason when we do we give a slight nod, the nod says " i dont mean any disrespect ". Nba fights typically stem from shows of disrespect and the heat of competition. What we are seeing in the wnba is thuggery. Violence that is stemming from jealousy and racism, not competition. These women give away their motives in the interviews. Saying " There is more than one woman responsible for the increase in interest" line of thought. The numbers dont reflect this mentality. The numbers show when clark is on the ticket viewership doubles at a minimum. In my opinion clark isnt doing herself favors with the flopping she does, and the imploring looks at refs when she does saud flops. I think it detracts from the obvious and serious thuggery that does happen to her. The biggest uh oh for me is the complete lack of physical support of her teammates. Which eith suggests they are on board with the hazing or maybe women simply dont have the same defensive and protective inclination toward teammates men do.
