A Cricket ball hit on my right eye due to unawareness as other eye working I couldn't understand loss of vison in other eye so it delayed Maximum 4-5 years that eye started squint extropia then we went to a hospital doctors said it is a Rhegmatogenuous Retinal detachment and they did surgery and in the subsequent surgery they also removed silicone oil and catract was formed that surgery also done successfully and Vision restored to 20/100 Recently after 14 years again suddenly vision lost in the right eye due to same Rhegmatogenous Retinal detachment again retina detached so they did surgery and removed silicone oil within 1.5 month I don't know why again retina got detached so again RRD surgery done post this surgery Sudden IOP increase 54mmg and immediately visited Hospital they reduced it immediately and im thinking this iop increase is due silicone oil in the eye In the next visit retina doctor told me my optic nerve is weak and doctor is uncertain till we remove silicone oil she said But im thinking due to silicone oil it temporarily stopped optic nerve function Now vision in that eye is HM+ only After removing silicone oil Can i see improvement in vison? Any possibility for significant improvement??? Any other advancement to restore vison in this cases possiblity or hope of future? Address first question after silicone oil removal vison improvement possiblity as I told I have visited hospital immediately with 24-48 hours as pressure increase and managed IOP I'm using drops also now to control IOP it's under control As retina attached with silicone oil and my restricted to HM+ only I don't know what happened to optic nerve Can anyone reply please

Carry your eye surgery cards and tell an officer about your surgeries if you are given a field sobriety test. It is so hard to hold your head straight and look side to side without the eyes shaking. Peripheral vision is very double.
I just had this Surgery two days ago they did local anesthesia So I knew the whole time what he was doing the Vitrectomy My eye is totally blood shot and i can't see anything out of it So I'm hoping the healing process will heal correctly and i get my full vision back The Specialist Dr Adam Jonot Is a super guy and a great Surgeon and he new exactly how to handle this surgery Thank you

I’ve had a cold for a little over two weeks now. On the second week my eyes suddenly started producing so much mucus but only at night, and my eyes got pink. Those were my only symptoms thankfully and luckily it’s clearing up very well.

Have just had that surgery for a macular hole, and the worse part is the posturing required , mine was only three days . A week down the line and the gas bubble is way down in my line of sight. Looking forward to seeing much better than I did .😎🇬🇧👍
I finally got my first surgery on my right eye 6 months ago. I just had my surgery on my left eye 2 days ago. I had strabismus since I was a child and got teased throughout my school years. I wouldn’t look anyone in the eyes because I was ashamed of how my eyes looked.I hated taking pictures! I hated talking to someone and they turn around because they aren’t sure if I was talking to them!😢😢I use to be able to control my eyes long enough to take a picture but as I got older I could no longer control it and it got worse 😢My self esteem was so low and I didn’t feel beautiful. I’m glad I was finally able to get the surgery because it has done wonders to my esteem❤❤

Reading many comments out here about lazer surgery i will say this, what i have happening to one of my eyes is more then what anyone else has happening to their eye but i will live with what i have going on, i willnot risk the chance of loosing complete vision in my right eye, symptoms i have is waviness vertically & horizontally, seeing everything in light hazy dingy tinted yellow if i look just look through the right eye only, i have white flashes whrn blinking have to wear sunglasses to reduce this much, when i am looking through both eyes i see magnification 3d hd effect as if a magnifying glass was being in front of me another way of saying a light fish bowl effect, at night my eye sees shadows making things appear wider as trees or whatever, i have neen adapting to all this best i can but again i will not risk chance of having to lose my entire eye sight i read too many things about people loosing their sight after surgery i wont risk it.
I've watched about 15 videos of retinal tear and this is the best. Exactly what i was looking for. I had to grab a quick flight to a neighbouring province after being told i had a retinal tear a month ago. I'd been talking to a couple of coworkers outside and suddenly started seeing big floaters and what looked like squiggly worms wiggling around in my vision. I figured I would sleep on it and it would all be gone when i woke up but instead i rushed to emergency. Lucky thing because the doctor said it was torn in two places and immediately arranged to have me see someone 750kms away the next morning early. What a shock to be cruising along with confidence and half a day later being told to get someone to escort you on a flight for emergency surgery. How am I? Fine, but the whole experience was scary. Wondered if I'd ever work or drive again. Will never take my vision or my health for granted again. Thank you for reading this and if you are having laser surgery for your own retinal tears or detachment i sincerely hope it works out ok. If anyone has any questions I will answer them.

This video is so old now, an update is needed. I'm having the surgery this week, hope there are no problems. The hole is small, just discovered it 4 months ago, when I got new glasses. I barely notice it. Hope I'm not rushing the surgery.
10/18/23 I just had my surgery on the right eye, had an unfortunate accident as a child at age 7 when a chandelier fell and hit me in it, always had that problem because they didn’t have everything the doctors do now to correct it. Well this is day 3 and my eye is slowly opening up, still have the redness but it does look different, before the surgery my right eye would wonder and sometimes I had to reposition myself for photos sometimes my eyes would do right but most times won’t . From what I see now I can tell the vision part is better for some reason but I see a size difference but was told give it Atleast 3months to align with the other eye . I’m so nervous because I had low self esteem awhile ago but have gotten comfortable with my eyes now I had took the gamble by choice you always wonder have you done the right thing . God to glory I claim I made the right choice and things will get better for me and appearance
I really hope someone sees this cus im struggling internally. My 3 yr old was recommended Strabismus for his extropia condition. His mom is hell bent on getting the surgery me i hate the idea .i being called selfish nd being told im putting my son in real danger nd i won't understand it until hes severely hurt . I hate that he has an eye condition but risks of surgery scare me.

Had retinal tears in Both eyes and got laser surgery on both. Wish I hadn’t have done this. I think these procedures should only be done if you are at risk of losing vision the day of. Not sure why they push preventative procedures if there is nothing wrong with your eyes. There’s no telling if u would ever even get a detached retina. Not a medical professional but if I could turn back time I woudnt do it. Why damage ur eyes with laser if you’re eyes feel healthy and your vision is good
I’ve had strabismus my whole entire life and I just had the surgery on Thursday August 17th, 2023 on the right eye. My eye is swollen and it doesn’t look as straight as the other eye, but it’s definitely better than what I started. As many others have said this condition drains your self confidence and I am so happy to have it done. I am resting and healing everyday.
