It's a complicated question and one that has been taken up by people smarter than me on the topic. I should say that part of what's at the heart of your question is the debate between anti-colonial and decolonial camps. With the decolonial camp emanating largely from what was seen by those thinkers as some of the failures of anticolonial revolutions (even successful ones) to really achieve a "full decolonization." Some of that has to do with understanding that colonialism is not just a material structure, but also a psychological structure, a set of laws, a form of education, an economic system, etc. Patriarchy would be an area where people would *learn* certain ideas around patriarchy over hundreds (if not thousands) of years depending on the culture. Undoing that is not merely a matter of removing the force that taught it to you, but also addressing one's own miseducation, etc. So the decolonial camp tends to say we have to address all of these things. (This is my rough understanding, I suggest reading their work and judging it for yourself). I think you'd have to seek those questions out from revolutionary nationalists primarily. But there are often tensions between revolutionary nationalists and feminists. And also there are often tensions between Communism or Socialism and nationalism. And tensions between anticolonial and decolonial camps. For me a couple of examples of revolutionary nationalists who engage in positive ways with socialist, marxist, & social reproduction feminist theory through a lens one might describe as decolonial (even if they themselves don't use that term) would be James "Yaki" Sayles and Sanyika Shakur. When dealing with realists I want to flip the script on them. When the radicals are told that we must be realistic we ought to ask the realists to do the same. For this purpose I also wanna refer back to that commenter who mentioned the kind of fear that underlies the realists' approach. When we, the radicals, base our arguments in the reality of US empire and the necessity of principled struggle against empire, the realists are made to look like scared fools. The realist position is exactly that, one based on fear and defeatism. Fear that they will become targets of US empire and the acceptance that nothing will fundamentally change. Like Dr. Sheehi said, we must gesture towards those of us who already pay the price and ask the realists to investigate what they actually get out of this deal they sign with the devil. In doing this, we acknowledge their fear and seek to transform it from something that is immobilizing to something that is mobilizing. We radicals must also organize our communities and build something tangible so that the realists feel like they have something positive that they can latch onto in contrast to their defeatism. Always we must articulate the real conditions of US empire. Always we must demonstrate that people like Trump are a mere microcosm of the real issues. That fighting against them specifically is like playing whack-a-mole against imperialism. Focusing on Harris is not realistic. It does nothing but sublate the real issues with distractions.

An easy way to get started organizing in your neighborhood is to volunteer with the local church. You do not need to be religious. That revolutionary patience will be challenged immediately. You will gain experience in building relationships and the importance of knowing your neighbors for a mass movement. We must be able to identify our one enemy as US empire in all its forms.

@@gravydale Its a good question. I would read the articles which are linked. But also has Kali has stated it might not be a civil war. It might just be an uncontested route by the most fascistic elements of society. In other words I don't think it's a guarantee that a fight will be put up at all. His proposal is that we have to organize on a basis of getting prepared to fight. And if a war doesn't come, then we're better prepared for revolutionary organizing anyway due to those preparations and related organizing.
