It’s way too relaxing watching you work in the lathe… nearly nodded off!!🫣 lovely job again, I’ll be interested to see how to cut the key way in the shaft
You’re definitely braver than me with that little chain Norman!😆. I’ve always loved the idea and look of steam wagons. Think it’s because they have the shape of a modern wagon but powered by a bygone power.
А прикинь! Лет 150-200 назад всё, что можно такими клёпками, клепали мосты и перегородки везде, что можно всё, что строилось только такими клёпками. А у нас только сейчас дошло, ай-яй.
Your vids are excellent, really enjoying them! I've got a full size loco that we are overhauling - I didn't have the courage to do vids about the work so fair play to you 👍👌
@@svemeraldspirit681 thank you appreciate it. We are already doing the work so turning the camera ons not much more. Would love to see you project if you ever post anything.
@@alasdairhamilton1574 I thought I scoped it out all the way round but I will definitely be going back to take another look if you think you saw something.
Ahh bugger I didn’t notice you was there or would’ve come over and said hello. I must admit, I’ve gotten into your traction engine restoration videos when I come in from my workshop lol
@@Johnnythefarmer cheers 👍 definitely come say hello if you see us, we are usually by the rusty crane. Plenty of workshop videos to come there’s lots to do.
Just stumbled across this your channel and absolutely brilliant I’m a carpenter by trade but alway loved steam from a young age especially traction engines and these types of videos are excellent great work bud really nice to watch cheers
Great work, i am enjoying watching these, I've done it in the smaller scales, really good seeing it on the full size, Looks a lot of work but she will be a cracker when all done.
Great vid Norman, I've had success in the past by tig welding a slide hammer to the fat end of taper pins, pounding on the skinny end swagges them out. good shot with drilling your pins out though! I have a 6nhp wallis 2489 so will probably be going through most of what you're doing at some point. I know what you mean about shimming every job i do has previously been shimmed up or down. Keep up the good work 👍🏻
@@chrisanderson7370 Thanks 👍 Will have to try that on the next one, they have been together over 100 years not surprised they put up a fight. Definitely not going to fall off. She’s definitely going back together without 10mm packers and shims. If your engines ever down this way let me know.
