This is just another german guy who tries to entertain you with building things... and his bad grammar :-) I often overengineer things or put sensors on machines. I'm also a big fan of Bosch Professional tools, so you will see a lot of them on my channel.
Just set the fence against the saw blade, (in the up position) then retighten the fence. Then the fence will be parallel with the blade. Being parallel with the blade is more important than being lined up with the slots in the table.
Dude I was sweating when you grabbed your tiny cut off stock with hands while the saw was spinning, plus other safety lacks mentioned above, or lack of PPI , this is important to show good example when running a channel. Nice review beside those points , thanks 👍🏿👍🏽
Hi, like the honest review. However not so thrilled when you cut the 10cm proof piece. This is the way to get seriously injured. I would suggest you take some lessons on how to properly use a table saw!
I find it fun people are spending so much time measuring pulling etc to find tiny faults such as play etc.. in reality I will eat my old hat on that most of you all aren't as precise as the saw itself even with play.
There is no need to fix it. If you hold pressure on the sled keeping against one side of the runner . It works fine. It’s not any more bother and easy to get used to doing. But if you want to spray gunk all over the runner’s and muck about resetting it. Then go ahead. My motto if it’s not broken don’t fix it . When you start taking things apart it doesn’t always go well.
Do you have any suggestion of a machine that does not have the issues that this BOSS GTX has? I'm looking to get a tool like this for my personal use but i d like to be able to do cuts down to the mm.
Wouldn't a plain combination square be sufficient? You can set the depth in advance, put it over the blade and turn the wheel until the teeth touch the combination square. But as a programmer I definitely understand your approach ;)
you should never push the wood with your hand between the fence and the blade, If the saw binds it will pull your hand into the blade as it kicks back.
Great video, I can see the result of the red & purple light after the NaOH bath, but can you explain what the red light was actually doing? was it a heat lamp effect?? Also what was the purple light doing afterwards?
I don’t think the 5 method cut is the way you show it on the vid. You must cut all 4 sides not only 2 sides! And I think it’s better to not use glue on the fence side so that you can do adjustments!
Great review and thanks for measuring width of mitre gauge track in the sled. Is the other track on the right side of the blade the same. Any idea why these sizes differ from T Tracks and add ons
I’ve been unsure whether or not to buy this table saw purely because of the fence and the mitre sled issues. But after seeing both of your ‘fix’ videos that’s convinced me to buy one. Thank you
Did you have same problems as ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-USyhhy_VIkg.html Or in Germany they make better saws for domestic market?
good job buddy. I was precisely looking for something like that, although I have already made the elevator and the motor, I only need the connection diagram with the driver, the components and the code, could you provide it?
I fixed it, but a lot more easy, made a video to show the method. Thanks for your video. Here is my method: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-K90R8FO1gy4.html
This procedure works! But to ensure good results, one more step is needed. The hole in the fence for the screw that you are loosening at 0:18 must be enlarged to allow enough play so that the edge of the hole won't interfere with the screw and limit side-to-side movement of the fence. Disassemble the fence and use a rattail file to open up that hole in the direction of the other hole at that end. That is, file the hole so the edge closest to the other hole is just a little bit closer. 1/16" is plenty. Increased the width of the hole along that edge also. Then reassemble the fence before following the procedure in the video. I was able to get near-perfect alignment by following this procedure and using a dial indicator.
I am pictur frame maker for cutting wooden frame molding is good tòhaveBosch Gcm 8SJLmltre saw with stand or table More cutting 45degree please eaves me Thankfully
00:17 *CREATOR* equals something like *God* . Right? Alright. One thing seems to be clear: *"God"* ain't on *BOSCH* 's pay role. I like that. 10:22 *OMG* - this is suicide. Please don't use the parallel fence for cross cuts. 11:51 and.. if something is *misaligned* .. using a table saw as a bench *might* have something to do with it.
Hi, great vid. Same issue with the laser. I also have an issue that the cut doesn't appear to be at a perfect 90 to the fence. Did you have any issue with that? I'm guessing this is a simple case of lossening the fence a correcting it before tightening it back?
Great video with a lot of detail! At 7:30, make sure don't use your miter gauge with the rip fence(parallel guide) to do cross cutting , this will result kick-back, which might lead to serious injury. Keep safe and make some saw dust! :)
