There's a big divide between late 60's funk, early 70's funk, and the later more boogie oriented stuff. Most want late 60's. I'd say Bobby Byrd, JB's, Archie Bell and the Drells, James Brown, Marva Whitney, Dyke and the Blazers, Isley Brothers early releases on T-Neck, and Little Royal would all fit that late 60's funk mold.

Greetings gents. Vinyl purists shudder at the thought of playing a CD. Some folks play both, selectively. Do you play and enjoy both? Any examples where you prefer the CD version of a record over the vinyl version, either musically or sonically?
