Get nice resyoration,I have a Massey 165 not restored but in good working condition on my small stable,I use it regularly and never leave it outside except when working.
Its the same age as me!!...hard to start, temperament, high maintenance, leaks everywhere rattles like a bag of nails... enough about me!!..the bike is awesome!!!
Lovely liking bike a real thorough bred a Proper cafe racer of the 1960s seen one like it up at the salt box many moons ago not one of those make believe type but a real gem magic !!!!
I have one of these! Mine is a 1964. Most reliable machine I own and I still use it. Wondering if it's worth spending the $$ to restore it to the condition in this video?
We had one of these on our dairy farm in Ontario, Canada back in the 60's, Dad bought it new, and added a loader to it. I'm not sure what year he traded it; we had alot different models of Massey-Ferguson tractors on our farm, and still do. This one looks like brand new, great job!
What end can did you fit to this? I have fitted mine with a Max Torque one which sounds similar to yours, great job with the refurb, looks clean. I noticed you modified the speedo and added some mph too.
👍 Great job. I have a 43f and I know the work you had to do too get it to look like this or maintain that kind of that pristine look while still honoring the race teams of the past.job well done sir or miss job well done.
Why is everyone calling these Triumphs, "street scramblers"? A scrambler is an off road motorcycle with much longer travel on its suspension, lower gear ratios & nobbley tyres. The only part of your 5TA, that was used for, off road was its engine. It is in fact a light cruiser. Very reliable & easy to ride & looks good too.
It’s all in the name, not made for off road SS stands for street scrambler, just styling never mentioned for off road just the street and to look cool …
